Yeah enough with Disney already. I don't care about the Disney characters.

Wow, you're totally playing the wrong series.

I seem to remember that there was a Gran Turismo where it was impossible to get 100 %. I don't remember which one it was, but the reason behind it had something to do with the inclusion or removal of a rally race or something. Anyway they made a last-minute change in the game and didn't  update the percentages, making it impossible to earn 100%. If anyone remembers which GT it was, please remind me.

1. Only a PAL PS3 will play PAL PS2 and PSone games, so you won't be able to use an american PS3, but you should realise that the backwards compatibility of the european PS3 will be resolved pretty quickly with a firmware update (the japanese and american ones also had some issues with a lot of old games, but 'most' of them have been resolved since then)

2. This one is important! You do NOT need to buy a new power supply, because ALL PS3's have universal voltage (100V-240V). I know this because I have a US PS3 and it says on the machine that it only supports 120V, but they only put that on to discourage importers. I simply pulled the power cord out of my PC and used it to plug my PS3 into the wall socket here. (I Live in Holland and power is 220V or something, maybe I'll post some pic's later as proof). you can buy a PC power cable for about 3 euros.

3. The other responses on this thread are pretty accurate on this subject.

4. I think if you try to create a PS3 network account after the European launch, you will be able to select your own country as address and get access to the european store. When I created my account I had to choose between only 5 countries, so I put down US with a false address so I could download the free stuff, but I can't buy anything because I have to use an american credit card because of my account (I also can't change my address to a different country, so that sucks for me and for all people moving between the US and Canada).

I hope this helps you decide wether or not you want to import. I also have 100+ PSone and PS2 games, but mine are all from the US, because I only moved to Holland 2 years ago, so importing was my best and only option. In your case though I would suggest forgetting about the saving 100 euros or so and get a european one, for the sake of your games (99% of which will be playable by the end of april). Also a US PS3 will not play european DVD's and Blu-rays (movies).

PSone: 69

PS2: 60

PSP: 5

GC: 3

I borrowed Resident Evil (PS1) to a friend about 7 years ago and never got it back (I bought the GC remake) and the fifth PS1 game i got (motor toon grand prix) is too scratched up to work, other than that my collection is still intact and functional (and growing). Plus I have about 18 demo discs and 3 dozen NES, SNES & GB cartridges.
