Not trolling but it actually looked better than what MS showed for next gen.

MS, please, bring the big guns.

This 4th season is very bad. Sorry. Someone had to say it.

I love this series, but after getting that +70 episode contract extension, they have burned out. Very sad.

@xpythonidae: i think Bethesda is just not that big. Maybe they need way more employees or something.

To be honest, i dont like Bethesda, only enjoyed Skyrim and that was almost 10 years ago. They milked it constantly and released several lackluster titles. This shows that they never had the production scale needed for a new ES.

I mean, look at Fallout 76...im not so sure the same company behind that crapfest can pull another great ES in a 3-4 year production timeframe. Fallout itself is rehashed and has been milking the same engine for over a decade. It is a very lazy game in terms of design. Such a lazy developer, while not solely entitled to the production of Fallout per se, is by no means capable of creating a great new ES in a reasonable timeframe.

They get such criticism because they announced this game 2 years ago...we deserve better, thats all :)

@jenovaschilld: thanks for the heads-up (i will watch it anyways haha!). I actually had my issues with the ending of FFVIIR because they showed stuff that was never supposed to be revealed (that dark haired guy) and they hinted on other future changes as well. Now, it is true that the story remained 90% loyal to the original, but that ending is problematic to me because this is supposed to be a remake. I enjoyed the game a lot. A LOT. So, in the end, to me the ending doesnt brake the game; it merely brakes the immersion of it. And thats fine, but not amazing.

Just to illustrate a bit better, i should point out that people asking for that GC RE1 remake were not asking for a reboot, nor were the people asking for MGS Twin Snakes (though the original is much better). The same goes for RE2 and RE3, for better or worse. I only express this because i just want to remind everyone that this was promised and teased as a remake, albeit a remake of the first section of the game.

I am now okay with accepting the changes, but to be fully honest i am not in favour of those changes :( I say this because developers need to tread more carefully when teasing and developing a project. If we are okay with this ending, then we can be okay with many changes done to other remade properties. Heck, it could be for the better in the end (looking at you, Mass Effect). But, in some cases, it could be for the worse (imagine the same being done to Chrono Trigger......*gasp*.....scratch that, that game should never ever be remade. Chrono Cross then). I am not saying this case is the worse, but we actually cant confirm this until we play episode 2, thats all :)

I will dive into all the theories and infos out there that try to flesh out the game. I will do my best to play this game multiple times and get everything the game has to offer. I hope it will grow in me and make me believe this could all end well.

Again, I am now okay with the changes. I will really immerse myself into the openness the game is asking for. I think the game is a fantastic experience. I am grateful that i got to play it and am grateful for the hard work that all the programmers and developers poured into it. I salute the new stance that SquareEnix has developed with this one moving forward. My hope for the future of FF as a whole has been sparked once more, and that is amazing considering it almost faded away forever with FFXV. I truly think i can work this one out.

Im only stating my opinion in such a manner so that players everywhere never forget that we, the gamers, can differ in our opinions, but never in our importance. My opinion is just one and maybe many will disagree. But our combined importance as a voice is a wonder. And we should never forget it, thats all.

Again i must point out that i truly enjoyed your feedback and recommendations. The Kotaku review is already waiting for me on another tab. I will make sure to "listen" more to what FFVIIR is trying to tell me. I sure as hell loved playing it, so i might as well give it the chance it duly deserves. Lets hope DQ11 isnt so welcoming hahah. Great talk :)
