Crossplay...so? like, why would Sony care about opening their network. Right now, Sony is the Apple-esque company when compared to its competition because they have the upper hand (considerably). Would Apple open its structure to Google? whether for one single app or for the entire store? hell no!
The platform is Sony. You don't like the rules, go somewhere else. Why don't you leave Sony altogether? because they are no. 1 for now and Pysonix needs to pay its employees.
Now gamers are so stuck up they think that a small developer should rule over the platform. I am NOT defending Sony's stance, I'm just explaining how they are acting (imo). Just picture yourself as the leader of Sony, the no. 1 in consoles, and having a game developer pushing you to open your platform, the same platform that gave such a developer, and many others, tons and tons of dollars and success...really?
Go tell Apple they should have the same apps as Google, or worse, tell them to share together...preposterous -_-
Do we really need a new Assassins Creed? CoD? A new Far Cry that rehashes the same concept over and over?
Dont know, but im sure as hell that it's not a matter of "need", for it's just a matter of "wanting". We have new superhero movies everyday..your point?
