What should i look for? Are there any definite ways of knowing? etc
Pictures of what resealed and factory sealed look like would be really helpful..

Of course you ain't a disgrace. There are many popular series that i haven't gotten around to yet (like MGS..).
What did you think of 10? Do you even remember? 'Cause that's the game i'd recommend. FF7 is good too and FFX-2 i don't think is a bad as everyone says.
I've played quite a few other FF's besides those but i thought they sucked. If you like wandering around getting into random battles without any story or anything to keep you going, you might want to check them out though.
EDIT [again] - Nevermind. I'm happy with everything now so im gonna try get this built.
This is for a gaming pc:
Case: NZXT BETA
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
Mobo: Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB CL 7
GPU: XFX 5850
PSU: Corsair 750TX
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
ODD: Lite-On
OS: Windows 7 OEM
Monitor: Viewsonic 22" 1080p
Mouse: Logitech G500
Keyboard: Logitech G11
Speakers: Creative Gigaworks T20
Budget is £1,000 (this goes a bit over but that's ok). Just want to know everyones thoughts, if everything goes together and if i should change anything.
I want some cheap (around £50) speakers good for gaming & some listening to music.
All the 2.1's i looked at seem to have too much bass so i looked at 2.0 and found

Anyone recommend it? Or something else?
^ Thanks a lot but you forgot about speakers.
I asked this on another site and got a list of components aswell as the pre-made pc you suggested (looks like overclockers will be a good option).

Damn no replys? Anyone?..
I want to buy a new desktop PC for gaming. I also want to buy a new monitor, keyboard, mouse & speakers that would be good for gaming too.
I'm willing to spend up to £1,000 (including the monitor etc).
I know someone's going to say to build one but I'm totally clueless as to what parts to buy/compatibility as well as what i need to make a good gaming computer. Then there's putting it together...
I can't say any games I'd want to it to run since I'm really only just going to start with PC games (usually i play on consoles). So anything that can play current/older games well.
I'm pretty much looking for recommendations down to the last detail.
I live in the UK so only recommend sites that deliver there.
I think i remember reading in a walkthrough that part of the game can get glitched.. and you're stuck. If restarting doesn't fix it you'd have to start the game from the beginning again. (I know..sucks) . Or maybe you're doing something wrong just check a walkthrough like those guys posted.
1. So he can play outside, with toys or read in spare time as much as they like but not game? They may not enjoy any of those things. What if they really like gaming? 1 hour is not much. What if they only play games on the weekends/rarely? Still a 1 hour limit?
2. Blackmail? I can understand wanting homework finished but using games as a means to get it done is just ...if that was me i'd be so pissed off. You should teach him why he should do his homework and why it's important, not that no homework = no games. As long as homework is done gaming shouldn't be restricted.
3. No pocket money or such? Doesn't sound like the kid'll have any games to play unless they fancy doing jobs for you all the time. If you reward well for doing them then it doesn't sound so bad..
4. I think you should know your child and what's in the game to decide if they are mature enough to play it.
