Okay so you want to start collecting games right? but you don't want to spend much money right? Ahh, well the bargain hunter has a tip for all you newbie collectors who want to get their feet wet; the GameBoy.
The GameBoy Is (my) personal choice for new game collectors due to cost and accessibility. Game Boy and Game Boy Color and even most Game Boy Advance Games are easy to get acess to for purchases at your local pawn shops, flea markets, heck even Gamestop still sells used GB and GBC games! And best of all often these carts can come cheap. Very rarely will you pay more then ten bucks for carts at these sources. And since most of these dealers often don't care about rarity, it can pay to your advantage to search these areas to get some gems very cheap.
Most GB and GBC carts are often sold at used dealers in cart only form - which is okay, as it's been accepted that most of these games are usually obtained this way anyway (back then, a lot of buyers threw boxes away...good thing we know better now!) though If you can obtain a game (GB or GBC) complete it's worth your while, a complete copy of Final Fantasy Legend is worth way more then it's cart only form any day.
GBA Games tend to follow more allong the lines of modern collecting rules, in terms of it's boxes. it's usually more worth your while to get it complete with it's box vs. the GB, GBC games. It's all how you want your collection to go, with concern of what you are willing to pay, which is another blog I'll do at a later date. I wouldn't recomend paying a lot for a GBA game in it's cart only form, unless it's a rare game. My stance is, that if it's gonna cost me more then ten bucks, and it's a cart only GBA game, it's not worth my time.
So, in my experience, a new collector can develop a nice big collection of games very quickly with GB carts, and be able to, on the cheap.
What do you recomend for the starting Collector?

Oh, I found out today that i'm becoming the new manager for domestics at my store and will be leaving Home Furnishings next week. My assitant manager, store manager, and even corporate recommended that Iwas the man to take over the department and get it back to order (to make things simple, the departments (there's 3 in domestics) is in a bit of a mess.) Wish me luck!
Edit: Changed game's name to "Great Greed."
