2009 Is gonna be a different year for me. I hit the 1k mark this year, a goal that makes any collector proud. and I did get a lot of games this year. But 2009 will be a bit different. I'm gonna be toning down the amount of purchases (as you saw after September I rarely bought much games), and focusing specific titles. It'll prolly be really 360 driven this year with my playtime as Ive been really focused on that console. So don't expect my collection list to drive up much this year, it's only gonna be key purchases driven.

Case in point, the real key next purchase will be SF4 the collectors edition for 360 when it's released early next year.

Other key ones from this year that i will prolly get sometime in 09 are:

Gears of War 2

Fallout 3

Bioshock

Madden 09 then Madden 2010



And that's really it, as I focus on my backlog. Ironically enough, excluding Xmas presents, my 360 takes up a huge chunk of my collection but has one of the best playrates of my collection (ie that most fo the titles have been played to a completion (not gamerscore wise) or to a point that I'm pretty satisfied with my progress on the title.)

I expect though my 360 collection will overtake my ps2 collection (which is at 153 games) in 09.

I also expect to get rid of certain games I don't want, and maybe gain a little money or invest it. :p

Like for example yesterday I traded in a few "Meh" titles I had for the 360 and some sports games. whcih leads to my next part of the blog.

For $28 too!

I sue a coupon to get 20 percent extra trade in cred, and use a coupon for 20 percent off (extra ten percent with card for both of them) a used game to get Left 4 Dead for $28 even. Surprised to see a used copy there since the game is rarely sold.

So yes, Ladies and Gents I can play Left 4 Dead now.
