i got spoiled again. oh well, sucks for me i guess. although the spoiler wasn't anything serious really, a surprise appearance i knew would be made anyway. hell, in a way, IGN's review already gave away this spoiler. also, the other part of the spoiler only had a shock factor of 10%. no big deal, still gonna play the hell out of this game. well, in the mean time, i suggest you guys watch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. its a freakin' blood bath, lol. a really great movie; Depp & Helena Carter put up great performances as Sweeney Todd & Mrs. Lovett.

first, i'd like to start off by saying that intentionally giving away a spoiler should be considered a crime. in fact, it should be considered a felony of the highest degree; you see, today i was checking up on the PS3 forums when all of a sudden i saw a topic title that read - 'we finally have our killer app'. i didn't pay much mind to it, probably another MGS4 or LBP thread. unfortunately.. it was a thread containing spoilers to MGS4.. how could anybody do something so evil? there have been reported suicides of people who've been spoiled on Harry Potter; however, i won't be killing myself because of this, mind you.

luckily, i didn't read all of the spoiler text. i just read the first sentence. of course, i won't put the spoiler in this blog post, but if you wish to know what it was, PM me. however, i asked my sister to do some research on MGS4 for me, and find out if the spoiler was legit or not. she did extensive research & came to this conclusion - i have not been spoiled. i'm not sure whether she's trying to make me feel better or is being honest, but either way, i feel a tad better.

it is truly tragic to read a spoiler on a game you've waited 4 years for. the thrill of a Metal Gear game is finding out what happens next.. that sensation you get when you see someone die or find out a certain someone was working for an undercover organization. oh, i almost forgot, the spoiler i read stated the name of The Patriots. i won't say who they are, because it could be total rubbish. also, two of the people mentioned seem like very unlikely candidates; one was already dead before The Patriots were formed, & the other played an extremely small role in MGS3.

although my heart is shattered after reading that, i have not given up hope. there is still so much where to know in MGS4! like what happens to Snake in the end, what happens to Raiden, & most importantly, who is Snake saluting in the graveyard?! when i think about that, the fact that i know who The Patriots are doesn't bother me as much. also, i'm a huge Metal Gear fan, no way in hell i'm gonna let some spoiler keep me from enjoying this masterpiece!

6/12/08 will be epic my friends, & i hope none of you experience the horrors of reading a spoiler. have a fun & safe summer, and remember to give your PS3 lots of ventilation room!
