I think the poster wanted to know why ppl like mario games in general. i like them because its fun to play. I'm not even going to say anything else about it. if u play any game and u have fun then its a good game. if you not having fun its a **** game, simple, i dont care if your playing with a fairy or shooting up some killer monster, aslong as it is fun then its a good game. mario is a good game because its fun to play for me theres nothing i particularly like about it other then when i play it i got a big smile on my face. sounds kinda dumb but its true. think about it. if your not happy n having fun playing a game then...

all i know is i ham 20 years old and oot came out when i was like 10 lol. so if **** doesnt seem easier now then i must be a dumbass. they arent just catering to ppl who played zelda all there lives they want to bring in new fans aswell cut em some slack its still a great game.
i jus traded in 3 ps2 games for it yesterday. im still waiting to get a wiii tho LOL. soon i hope cause i have zelda and mario now and im going insane waiting to play them
