I think the biggest problem is really 3rd party. Nin uses Mario, Zelda, MP franchise again but the games are good and the fanbase is satisfied. 3rd Party was overwhelmed about the sales on Wii consoles and wanted to have a piece of the cake, too. There we have now two constelations, that are very bad for the quality of a game.

1. The publishers see the hype about the new console and so they ask the developers to make "quickly" one or more Wii games. 2. A lot of the Wii Gamers are casual gamer. The Wii made it to interest people in playing, that never played a console before. Let it be curiosity, coincidence or whatever but the Wii is now a "family" console. So we have a lot of game buyers, which doesn´t really inform about the quality of a game and they don´t want games like Zelda or Mario, because for such games you need to dedicate time (a lot of time). So they´re buying many "casual games" and games that are rated 70% and below, which are often really bad games, independent of if you´re a fan of the franchise.

The real thing I wanted to point out is, that because of this we have a lot of publishers that either throw mini-game like titles in the market or quickly made Wii ports, that have no "heart nor love", you know what I mean. But because there are so many casual gamers, that buy this games instead of "punishing" the 3rd partys and saying "HEY 3rd party not so easy. For this **** you have to pay me and not vice versa". This would give 3rd Party a good kick in the ass and they would learn, that they have to do good games or they don´t even get the crumbs of the cake. (Sorry for my englisch, I´m from Germany)

I know, that I don´t gain any sympathy saying that, but I played a lot of RPGs and Dark Cloud is fun, has a interesting battle system and gameplay, but a RPG lives from a good story and in my opinion the story of dark cloud 1&2 are not so interesting. When I start a RPG, the story has to drag me into the game. Rogue Galaxy was in my opinion better, but still away from what you call "very good". Another thing I have to say, that I´m lillte dissapointed, that most of RPGs or Action-RPGs lately, you have to level up so much or you don´t stand a chance against enemies. It´s a bit frustrating when you play a story game and 1/3-1/2 of game you have to power up. That disturbs the flow of the game.

When I started to play KH2 i was really surprised. I don´t know how the first KH is, so it was something new to me. I played about one hour KH2 and thought "hey really cool story, a little bit of childish style, but that´s ok to me.
But now i have played about 15 hours and somehow the game is dissappointing. Graphics, Gameplay, Sound, all this is important in an adventure or RPG but the MOST important thing for me (and i think for lots of RPG´s gamers) is the STORY and KH2 (same as Dragon Quest VIII) are too flat. It was in the beginning such interessting with the Org. XIII and that mysterious thing about Roxas and Sora, the Nobodies and all that time stopping things with Namine, kinda dramatic.
Then begins the part with Sora and all the Disney Worlds and the story begins to SUCK. One dungeon after another and one disney world after another. KH2 remind me kinda of Dark Cloud 2. It starts so good and all the gameplay charasteristics are superb but the story is so god damn boring after a while. It´s hard to explain what i mean, but u know KH2 is like that. New Disney World, a character needs help, Sora and Co. are the super Junior Heroes
and one in a while you get some pieces of the Org. XIII story and what it´s all about and THAT´s the problem. I play hours only to get small pieces of info from the Main Story. I don´t want to play a game that is good @ the first two hours and good @ the last two hours, because only then the main plot is going on. It´s a good game and all i would give it a 8-8.5 but i really have the feeling that the storys of most Adventures are getting worse and worse.
