Something i have been noticing lately on these boards are the increasin` number of both pokemon trading/battling topics and of pokemon topic haters as well.

I must say that i`m annoyed by how these haters are behaving.

They just sit on their lazy butts and keep complaining: "Boohoo!!! Da DS Board is full of pokeman topix, bohoo!!! I Want mommy, i will stop posting here, Boohoo!!!"

Now when i signed on gamespot, i used to believe that the experienced users were real men and women with strong wills, personality and opinions, and wouldn`t let such a small thing bother them, but i guess i was wrong, maybe i had my hopes a bit high. And after all i see comments like these:

Which is one of the reasons I frequent the DS boards less now.sik99

The guys who post about pokemon are, most of times, new users and they are not in really big numbers, maybe 6 to 10 and even still some of them just go to inactivity after posting a few times.

I`m not writing this to annoy you, but to stimulate you. Will you keep acting like cry babies complaining to your board mom, namely the moderators and let a few users take over the board, or will you raise against those topics, being more active and looking for more stuff to post for, burying those pokemon topics on the third page and below as fast as possible? Most of us are grown men and women, we are much stronger to let this tiny detail and a few new users ruin our gaming discussion place!

Thats why i`m writing this message, and i hope this doesn`t go unnoticed. Some say that i`m crazy, others will tell me to stop trolling and shut up, others will ask the moderators to lock this topic because they think it`s a stupid topic, but i will answer one thing: I have faith on the Gamespot DS board users!

Dunno about the name, but i think they should change the name DSi to D$i, lol

possibly guesses:

inovation/inovative

imagination/imaginative/imaginary

instigating

instictive

Iamasourceofmoney

ImakepeoplepostintheinternetaabouthemeaningoftheI

I guess the last one is the most correct, xD

I dont see how being ridiculously hard is a con.whosgotthe311

Totally agree, reviewers seems to hate hard games, come on, there is a diference between hard and challenging than infuriating and frustating.

Maybe they think that being hard, will make children with 6 and under complain about the game, so especifically this game wasn't make for 6 and under children, people need to stop thinking that games are only for children. (since the most famous games had a bit of childish looks, like pokemon, kirby, mario etc. some people (even gamers) grow thinking that games are for children, or that you wont play a certain game/console because the game is for children, but hey, GTA isnt made for kids, and F.E.A.R. potentially can make any adult wet the pants)

Or maybe reviewers dont like to lose and hate when the game is to hard. hm...

Besides hard games are good too, sometimes easy games can get tiresome because you don't have a proper challenge to test your skills and get past the game too fast and easily.

In my opinion, when a game is:

Hard: when you need to use all your skills, putting yourself to test to pass through the game, and maybe it wont be enough.

Infuriating: when you have annoying mini-bosses/bosses/enemies or after several tries when you think you have the boss moves all read-on and is ready to fight him, then you make a simple mistake (like going 2 cm to the left instead of 1 cm) and screw the whole fight and you die because of the mistake, or because the game controls is a bit complicated and then you die because you pushed the wrong button at the wrong time... things like that.

Frustating: When you pass through a really LOOOONG/annoying stage *cof*... slow moving platforms... *cof* just to reach the boss and you die and have to go through the stage again from the start

Or When you need to go to point A to get something, but this something is locked in a safe and you need to go to point B that is on the other side of the world to get information and then go to back to point A to procced to point C to get the key then get back to point A to open the safe, but there is a map inside the safe that says that the something you're looking for is in the point D that is far beyond point B...

On-topic: Great, i'm looking foward for this castlevania, i hope the gameplay is more similar to DOS (not the ms-dos, lol)

[QUOTE="agehaelhaym"][QUOTE="podliver"]

Ugh...basically it's just a PSP that folds up now...

but made by Nintendo :?

And considering the DSi will have worse battery life...hmmm yeah that's a big turnoff. I like the DS a lot for how long the battery lasts. And if I want to watch music or videos I can use my iPod for that.

podliver

It's not. Anyway, Nintendo confirmed it has worse battery life?

Umm ok OBVIOUSLY it's not a PSP, but it has most of the stuff the PSP can do now. (playing music/videos, has a built-in web browser)

Ok ok I never said Nintendo confirmed worse battery life, but my guess is that with all the extra little add-ons they put in the DSi, it would affect the length of the battery life in some way or another.

You forgetting something, since this year is 2008, compared to the ds lite launch year (2006), technology has advanced as the time passes, and i bet that nintendo has what it takes to make a better battery, so we can't really say that the battery life will be increased/cut down.
