Remasters and upgrades certainly have their place, particularly for those who haven't played those games before. I do dislike the term 'Director's Cut' when used with games, though, for some of the reasons outlined in this article. It would only make sense to me if people like Warren Spector, Ken Levine or Hideo Kojima revisited some of their past games and revamped them for modern systems which, let's face it, is highly unlikely to happen.

Honestly I'd prefer to see some PS3 titles (from various developers/publishers) get revamped/enhanced to work natively on PS4 or PS5. If Bethesda ever decided to remaster/enhance Fallout 3 for modern consoles, for example, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Not likely to happen, though.

I think Microsoft have delivered solid and consistent showcases for the past few years including this one. They've got the tone and balance right between showing games and talking heads. Some of the other publishers' own showcases this year left a lot to be desired and they could learn a lot. Quite a few of the E3 branded shows completely missed the mark, and I have to wonder if gamers were the audience at all for some of them.

Anyway, good luck to MS going forward.

Thinking about it, I don't believe Microsoft will want to launch two or three big RPGs at us in the same year, so I can see them staggering the releases over the coming years. We'll get Starfield in 2022, maybe Fable or Avowed in 2023, then vice/versa for 2024, and finally Elder Scrolls VI in 2025/26. Bethesda already said they won't start dedicating time to ES6 until Starfield is released.

In general I think some of the titles listed above were announced far too early. Some of the games announced last year were sure to be a ways off and early in development. Just keep them under wraps until closer to the year of release.

I also think Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been silently cancelled. Not that I care about anything coming from Ubisoft any more with their 'live services'. :P

The game's looking good so far. I look forward to trying it out later in the year.

I won't lie. I was hoping for more from this trailer, including some gameplay. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to seeing what this game has to offer down the line. Hopefully next year around this time they'll give us an extensive look at gameplay. If the game matches these visuals, I'll be fine with it.

This game looks interesting to me. If it plays something like Borderlands but with a somewhat more serious tone, that's fine with me. A group of misfits fighting against a vampire menace kind of reminds me of John Carpenter's Vampires as well. I look forward to hearing more about Redfall in the future.

I look forward to seeing what they come up with next. I'm not really into zombie games that much so wasn't interested in Days Gone, but it looked like a well-developed game.
