Okay, finally time for another blog, I’ve been holding this one back for this specific date as it is now just a month until I and the rest of the UK will have the brilliance unleashed upon them which is the Wii so this may be a little long but I must say I’m surprised how much I have to blog about and it only being just over a week since my last blog. But let’s start with some old stuff I haven’t commented on.
Firstly the downloadable games for the Wii, I am glad we have the old classics there just as expected and the prices as we are seeing with everything for the Wii are reasonable but there were some games there that were really good that are not on that list but I am sure we’ll see these eventually. Secondly 3 or 4 days ago somebody posted (the full version of) the South Park episode Make Love Not Warcraft and I think that game really captures the true spirit of MMORPGs, I loved it and so did my friend. Also I saw an advert recently for the pink PSP and it reminded me of what I thought when I first saw it along with the pink PS2, “why would they want to release pink versions of their console? I can understand Nintendo as they are trying to attract more females to gaming but what are Sony doing?” and I never figured that one out.
Moving to more recent news I have lost my DS Card for Brain Training somehow but my mind is slightly taken off of it due to other fantastic distractions. Firstly I although I haven’t played a massive amount of Guild Wars I have enjoyed the time I’ve spent there and the elements that make games like WoW and Guild Wars special. Then there’s of course the EA line-up for the future, I’m not expecting too much from this Sims game for the Wii, I don’t think it’ll be able to stand up to he PC titles any more than other Sims console versions unless they’ve come up with some amazing thing using the Wiis software we can’t contemplate. The Sims 3is already in planning and I’d be a bit worried but I know this game is in the capable hands of Will Wright who’s breathtaking game Spore I am still waiting for, well just 8-10 months to go. Now I move onto some slightly more local news as the Wii is on its UK tour and I’ll be going to see it at the Lakeside shopping centre on the 25th so I’m really looking forward to that, I know I’ll probably look like the biggest fanboy geek there but I don’t really care what passing chavs think of me.
Well this has been me saying just a month to the Wii!!!!
