Hey, everyone! I created this message to ask how all of the Wii owners out there managed to get their hands on a Wii console. With Christmas and the holiday season, finding one now is nearly impossible! I'm sure there are some funny and interesting stories that people have out there, so let's hear them! And for those of you still trying to get one, I hope that whatever people say here will help you find one, and good luck!

I own two Wiis, although technically, I own one since one belongs to my sister. How I got them both are interesting stories. The first Wii I managed to get my hands on 3 days after the release date. I have to thank Nintendo for releasing the console during the winter time in Texas, otherwise I might never have gotten one. Anyway, I heard about the Wii reservation deadline too late, and as a result, was not able to preorder a Wii, even though I got to GameStop a few hours after I found out. I was so disappointed! Anyway, the day the Wii was released, my parents took me to a Sam's Club nearest my home to get one. There was a line outside by the time I got there. I was told by the woman in front of me that they had already passed out tickets so anyone who had one could buy one. The woman in front of me also said she had been standing in line for 15 minutes, and she got the last ticket! That meant that if I was there 15 minutes earlier, I would have gotten one! I waited until opening time and ran inside with the others, who all got Wii's but I didn't. I nearly cried. However, I think luck has a way of turning. The next day, I found out that a Costco near my home, that had just completed construction a few months ago, had ordered a small supply of 15 Wiis in special bundle packs that included Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess and ExciteTruck. However, the shipment to the store was delayed due to the fact that the roads were snowed in for the delivery. Thus, the delivery would be late for two more days. I called the store everyday, until I found that the shipment had arrived. There was only one problem . . . I was at college nearly an hour away, and had to attend classes that day. However, another piece of good fortune for me! My sister was able to visit my family at home for a week before she had to go back to her medical school! I called her and sent her over to the Costco to wait, because I was told there was already a line! She arrived there at 8 in the morning, thinking that the store was going to open at 9. Instead, I lied to her. It was supposed to open at 10. She told me later that if she had known, she never would have stayed there. I mean, it was winter time, and really cold outside. Anyway, she was #6 in line, and when the store opened, she got a Wii so fast, she was #3 to leave. For doing all this, and to stop her from being angry, I paid her completely for the Wii, and threw in an extra $50 for the effort. I still owe her big. But even she says it was worth it!

The story of my second Wii is a lot shorter, and a lot more recent. A week ago actually. You see, my sister has a fiancee now. And I don't know, but whatever he does in life, has incredible luck! Here is an unrelated story. 4 days after the PS3 release, he presented my sister with a box. When she looked inside, it was empty, but then he took her out to lunch, and when they came back, a PS3 was there on the table. I think he asked a friend to switch the boxes or something. My sister nearly cried! He told us that he found it when he went to a Wal Mart and found someone trying to return a brand new one. When he asked to guy what he was doing, he said that he was returning the system because he wasn't using it, and it cost too much money. $700 later, he walked out of the store with a PS3 under his arm! Anyway, my family does not celebrate Christmas, but his family does, so we just celebrate Christmas in his home. He got her a Wii for her present. This time, she did cry! Somehow, he did it again! Apparently, he was searching for a Wii at several different stores. The last place he checked one day was a Toy's R Us. Neither of us expected him to find one there, but sure enough, there was a man unloading packages in the videogames aisle. He jokingly asked if he had any Wii supplies, and the man actually answered "Yes!" It turns out he was putting a new shipment on the shelves! The biggest shock was at the bottom of the box. Two Wiis! 2! He immediately grabbed one, ran to the cash register, and left. And I still can't believe it!

Well these are the stories of how I managed to get my Wiis. I hope everyone out there attempting to get one finds them eventually. Feel free to post responses and your own stories here, and don't get frustrated or give up looking! They're out there! You just have to be patient enough to find one!
