sounds wierd i know but..

i created a "Link To Us" page for my website and on this page will be a bunch of banners and icons i made for my site that people can put onto there own pages and link the icons back to my site.

and what i wanna do is provide the HTML code for each banner and icon thats neccasary to make the images link back to my site because not everyone knows HTML.

but i dont know how to provide these examples to the users without the code itself activating

did i explain that right? lol

i'm re-designing my website and i wanna add a a feed onto the homepage that shows all the new posts on my forum.

i want this feed to update automatically with all the newest forum posts.

any ideas for how i can accomplish this?

i wanna make it so that my site wont link back to my IP

like when someone trys to see the domains IP it either shows nothing or it shows my web hosts ip

due to a sudden massive burst in traffic on my site and the demand for multiplayer poker....i went ahead and got a copy of phppoker from phppoker.net

and im in dreamweaver right now and i have absolutely no idea what to do with all the PHP files in the ppoker folder.

im a real newby to php

I uploaded the ppoker folder to my public_html file and did the 1st step but now im stuck on "run installer"

These are the instructions in the ppoker folder:

SELF INSTALLER

- CHMOD includes/config.php to 777

- Run Installer

- CHMOD includes/config.php to 644

- CHMOD avatars directory to 777.

i did the 1st step...but now i have no idea how to run the installer...theres an install file with an index.php file in it and a poker.sql file as well but when i click the index.php a pop up comes up asking me if i wanna open the file or save it.

what does it mean by "run installer"?

i created a website and some people with a similar website managed to get my number and there prank calling me.

and i told them i would just change the number but then they toldme "but you cant change the addy"

is this possible to get a number off a domain?

so i got my site to upload successfully and its working but....none of my server side includes are showing up...i named all my pages .html

and i found out theres a code you can enter into your .htaccess file to make the server treat html files as .shtml

but when i enter:

addtype text/x-server-parsed-html .html

into my .htaccess file and i publish it...it makes all my files downloadable off my website.

am i doing something wrong? lol

i dont want my files to be downloadable, i want my server side includes to show up.
