One of the greatest games I've ever played. That said, who cares if it comes in HD. I thought the graphics were fine the way they were. I would rather they make a full sequel than just re-do the graphics.

I believe this article and Hepler make some valid points. I love a challenge in my games, but we have to accept changes to games and the industry. If companies don't attract new customers they will have to cut back on staff, reducing game quality, or they might go out of business entirely, and a world where still young media formats like games die and disappear is a sad world indeed. Personally I don't think an option to skip some, not all, combat and game play wouldn't be such a bad thing. If you don't want to skip the combat and exploring then don't, I wouldn't. I enjoy exploring and fighting through massive worlds as well as the narrative. I would also assume that special abilities or achievements like finishing a chapter of a game would not be granted when you use this option, same as using cheat codes these days. If not a skip option then maybe they can start releasing DVDs of the cut scenes like a film, Metal Gear Solid 3 did it. Lastly I would like to added to the cowardly internet abusers that seem to think racism and sexism are perfectly fine, but allowing the option to skip combat in a game is not. If a person doesn't have the right to skip combat, puzzles, traveling and all the other hard work of games to reach the part they truly enjoy. Then by this logic of no pain no gain for something that is supposed to be enjoyable, next time your reading Playboy you shouldn't be able to see any naked photographs until you have read all the articles ^_^

I agree with the writer. This is the ongoing problem of people not willing to recognize when something is satire. Just as many of my favorite shows are very satirical. For example when you have a character that makes dumb racist jokes and believes in stereotypes. The humor behind it is not meant to be that "haha, he's making fun of black people", but rather to point out the idiocy of racism and stereotypes. I believe Duke is a satire of traditional views of a "man's man". Imagine John Wayne and Frank Sinatra were alive today and fighting aliens, that's Duke.
