Before you send it to Sony, check craigslist for "ps3 repair" in your area and get it fixed in one day. Thats what I did. Hell, click my profile, it's my most recent blog. I had the same problem and got it fixed the same day without losing anything.

You don;t have to play 1 to play 2, but why wouldn't you? That would be like seeing the sequel to a movie without seeing the first one.

Seems like more peoples systems are staying alive rather than dying. That's good to know.

Mine died once. I got the YLOD. I was so bummed. I didn't want to send it in. I I checked Craigslist the day it crashed and found someone who fixed PS3's in the Los Angeles area. I called him up and he said this was a "pretty common thing" and he told me to bring it on over and he'd fix it for me the same day. of course I brought it over and he fixed it in about an hour. I was pretty stoked and amazed that he was able to do it so quickly. Oh, and it was only 90 bucks too. I haven't had a problem since.

What about you?

Just buy the Game of the Year Edition if your still buying DLC. It has ALL of them in one. Might as well get them all one one disc if your going to get them all.

But I think Broken Steel is worth the money if you still play Fallout 3 and you want to raise the level cap, get some new perks and a few new missions. This is the only DLC I would recommend buying though, as the rest are EXTREMELY buggy.

It sure hasn't helped Square Enix's last efforts. The Last Remnant was critically paned...where was the payola? And if games like Halo 3 ODST don't pull in a 10, extremely hyped series with rabid fanboys backed by one of Americas most wealthy companies, I don't see FFXIII doing it either. raven_squad

Yeah, good point.

Square's baby will always be The Final Fantasy Franchise. The only reason I think it'll get a 10 is because it's going to be the "First Next-Gen Final Fanasy". I'm not saying its going to be the greatest game in the world, but after 12 Final Fantasies, (12 Final Fantasies, what a weird thing to type) not to mention all the spin-offs, I think the critics will give it a 10 simply because of the line "It's the Next-Gen Final Fantasy".
