they don't. but optimization does amazing things. *looks at RAGE*

theuncharted34

It's likely that they may try to cut corners in the console versions of RAGE. If I recall correctly, a very early build of the 360 version ran at 60fps, though I am guessing they'll have to settle for 30fps in favour of higher quality visuals.

no, RAGE runs at 60fps, while looking Fantastic. like I said, optimization does some amazing things.

U mean sacrifices. The textures look very bland and low rez from up close if you watch the vids. Also the open world design idea with wich they announced the game doesn't seem very open anymore since 90% of the footage is straight corridor stuff in dark tunnels + the low amount of enemies u encounter at one time.

[QUOTE="Another-World"][QUOTE="[deleted]"] Ignore him, he is a troll or just that ignorant because he never has anything positive to say about PC gaming or anything to do with it.I do bash consoles sometimes but i also admit they have there positive points about them too.lawlessx

I know he's a cow, but I would still have liked to see whether there could actually have been something offered by steam that would have pleased him.

is GOW3 on sale on steam for $3? How bout LA Noire for $10?..or maybe Uncharted 1 and 2 for $10.

This is why you shouldn't bother...

Lol, that s kinda unfair putting up two blockbuster system sellers against 1 platform. But next Year La Noire will be for sale on Steam atleast.

And you consoles aren't getting those exclusives out of the sky. MS and Sony pay big money to their 1st party developers to keep the games exclusive or else they would long been multiplats lol. Kinda sad thing actually they need to have exclusives for their systems or else there is no reason to own a console since PC does everything better.

And you got any good exclusives on console for 2012?

PC will be having

Red Orchestra 2

Arma 3

Diablo 3

Starcraft Heart of the Swarm

Guildwars 2

The Old republic

by than.....:p

Remember this interview 4 years ago

Gabe Newell Trash Talks PS3

Do you think any of the things he said come true or are legit problems? Especially him saying Sony made the PS3 explicetely complicated

to prevent the code being run on other platforms.

They are trying to do that more with their maps in BF3. Make them open yet have a linear progression. Playing whack-a-mole with flags isn't as fun as having the clearly defined front line. That's why Rush was such a hit.

Wasdie

Running headlong into a tightly defended base populated by every single one of the 16 players on the opposing team until your bodies form a wall for you cover behind is only fun to idiots who like repetition.

Even the most linear of those like Karkand never got too linear. I don't know why we need to make it so complicated with mcoms and whatnot.

Oh wait, we are not finished yet.

3D-spotting, linear maps, no map-editor/mod-tools, probably no commo-rose, pre-order **** 32-players Rush on PC, auto-knife, 4-man squads.

All direct results of console limitations carried over to PC gaming.

Becuase the majority of console players are CoD dudes and are used to get choked on narrow intersections to kill or get killed every 4 second BF3 will have to cater to that crowd to win any terrain on Call of Duty. Also there is a 24 player cap on consoles so they have to cut drastically in maps to avoid them from being hide'n seek games.

I mean, look at this crap

Wtf is this, Dice really joking?

In rough comparison to BF2 Karkand

It is quite sad when hermits make a thread bragging about one PC game selling more than 360 version. I wonder what would happen if lemmings started listing all the multiplats that have sold the most on 360......

Edit: Is rockpapershotgun.com run by SW hermits?

Harisemo

Lol. you are comparing bug budget games with mass marketing behind them against a game from an independent Indie. This again show PC gamers

pay for originality more and reward the creators of it.

[QUOTE="monkeychris"]

Steam works very well, not surprising. Microsoft points are just an annoyance.

EliteM0nk3y

So true, but without a credit card I can't buy games on Steam. So I tend to buy things on my 360 instead.

Ever heard of Paypal? Or u don't have an bankaccount either? lol
