Online-only DRM and multiplayer are the reasons why I didn't buy this game. Sim City 4 here I come.

What EA is doing is fueling more piracy. People sure wouldn't want to get screwed by the DRM.

Good news, and I hope that slaps EA in the face hard for ruining a good franchise. They better learn from this.
