I was wondering, what does everyone think of Lords of Shadow? I finished it the week it came out and personally love it. I understand the mixed reactions, however, as it ostensibly reinvents the series.

It's worth noting the incredibly well done trailer which can be downloaded on Xbox Live. Patrick Stewart, Robert Carlyle, Natascha McElhone. Wow.

Nothing new or interesting from Gamescon. *sigh* We'll probably have to wait till TGS '09 to get more details. I really want to see more of this game.

None of Death, Alucard, or even Dracula! venus577

Actually: Take a look at this.

Konami has not yet confirmed if this is one and the same as Lords of Shadow.

Hey at least it isnt being developed solely by Igarashi. It has Kojima listed as a producer and seems to be getting more of a budget than previous installments. I'm eagerly anticipating more information about the plot and mechanics but the God of War formula with some subtle rpg mechanics would be a solid direction. The concept art seems to be Ayami Kojima's style, and I'd love to see some concept art to confirm this...

I fixed the associated games list so that the newest installment is now included in our associated games, removing Legacy of Darkness ;  ;
(We can only have 10 at a time, thanks Gamespot)

I've been a Castlevania fan for a long time. However, it's really hard to say I like a series. To me that means you need to like almost all if not all games in the series in a big way. I'm a big fan of the concept of Castlevania. The themes. However, there are several games in the series which are less effective as conveying such themes. I'm a pretty fickle person so my "favorite" series changes all the time and it really depends on the genre of the game. So my best answer is:
Sometimes
