I game bec ause its fun, its an escape. You can be the hero or you can destroy the world, youcan be anyone doing anything at anytime. I also game because I appreciate the beauty (I'm using the word in a broad sense, sinse Fallout3 is beautiful for its attention to detail and such but the world itself is bleak and cheerless) of the worlds created by developers. I could totally get lost in the gorgeousness of the architecture in Bayonettta, Devil May Cry, Bioshock. The rolling hills and landscapes of Oblivion and again, the bleak vistas of Fallout 3.

Gaming has also educated me in some ways. Thanks to Dynasty Warriors I bought and read The Three Kingdoms and I was able to talk about it with my Mother in law (who is Chinese), and that brought us together a bit more.My son has done an amazing turn around in school since he started playing Scribblenauts. My daughter improved her reading by playing JRPGs.

I can keep in shape by playing Kinetic and DDR.

Gaming just offers os many possibilities. I can't imagien NOT gaming.

I have no idea what the difference between is between a T version or M version of the game however, as far as Oblivion as a whole goes, the GOTY is the best one to get it comes wit the 2 major DLC already included.

If you get the regular version then the DLC available are:

Shivering Isles: adds a new island full of crazy strange people lots to explore, new weapons and armour, a full quest with smaller quests from different NPCs, hours of gameplay.

Knigt of the Nine: You go on a holy pilgrimage to reclaim all the pieces of a knights armor on order to free him and the other 9 knights from a curse of sorts. It takes a while and is a good addition but not as deep as Shivering Isles.

Mehrunes Razor: A new mining camp/ruins are added to the game and you go on a quest to recover a sword

Wizard's Tower: Basically a really nice Tower in the Jerall Mountains for you to live in, good for mages, offers a nice selection of ingredients in your very own garden for your potions. Also lets you enchant items even if you don't complete the mages guild quests.

Battlehorn Castle: basically a castle to live in. you also can recruit 1 knight at a time to go with you on your adventures, will give you your own forge for repairing weapons and a mini quest to destroy a Liche.

Thieve's Den: adds a cave where you'll fight some skeletons and after defeating them its another place for you to live and you also can recruit your own pirates who will go plunder when you send them out and leave you a cut of the money in a chest in your room.

The Orrery: very short quest to recover some stolen pieces to fix the mages guild observatory

Vile Lair: another place to live particularly good for vmpire characters or evil characters. Comes with your very own minion who will murder a random person if you command him and he leaves loot for you in a chest. Also includes a pool that cures Vampirism and an eternally sleeping NPC for your vampire feeding pleasure.

Spell Tomes: a nice one for mages. adds about 200 more spell books to find with unique spells.

and finally

Horse armor: honestly its a waste of money. It sthe only DLC I would not recommend, its pretty self explanatory. your horse will have armor.

I have a clear protector but no case. I bought a case for my DS long ago and found that I never used it.

[QUOTE="nethervue"]Hello all. Please forgive if I am posting in the wrong area. My 5 yeard old girl is getting a DS for her birthday. She loves playing matching games with cards where you have to find matches. Are there any of those types of games on the DS? She could sit and play a matching game over and over and over. We go to the Children's hospital alot and have to drive there and do alot of waiting...it be great if she had something that she could play. I've Googled, but can't find anything like that. Thanks in advance.meiaman
Kids these days.... back on my time you had to watch the scenery and you had to be happy with that, no complains. -_- Gosh, i`m sounding like a old (and senile) guy. Unfortunately you have to use the stickied recommendation thread (ask there), to get an answer, forum rules, y`know. Well, but not let you with anything, maybe it just me but 5 years old is a wee young for a DS... well anyway, if you really insist, i suggest some kind of games like bubble bobble. They are fun for kids.

My son is 4 years old and plays games on DS, PSP, Xbox360 (LOVES Castle Crashers), etc. actually all my kids game. my 9 yr old is playing Phantasy Star Portable and her 7yr old sister is playing Pokemon Platinum. I think it just depends how good their hand eye coordination is and finding the right games for them.

my son plays a lot of racing games on the DS, he also likes Drawn to life Spongebob edition, Lego Batman and Build a Bear.

I'm 31 and I play Pokemon. I don't think there really is an age cuttof for playing any game. If you enjoy it, that's all that matters.
