Who is to say that Pennington (who is leading the Dolphins to a much better season this year than last) couldn't be doing the same thing with the Jets? Pennington would have gone no where with the Jets. He was there for what, 6 seasons? And how many playoff games did he win? Do you even know how bad the Jets have been in the red zone up to this year?

Thompson wanted his player, Rodgers, to be QB. He booted Favre to be a hero and now we see just how wrong he was. The Packers defense looks down this year properbly because they have been on the field so much (way to many short drives from the offense). Guess what team leads the league in 5+ minute drives? Yea, the Jets.

As Packer fans we can blame Favre all we want for that INT last year but guess what, we're not going back to that game. All of the parts were in place for the Packers (they went from 4 wins in 2005, to 8 wins in 2006, and 13 wins last year) and then they trash their QB.

And you want to talk about throwing away games? How about those 2 games Rodgers blew with 4th Q picks? I will admit, Rodgers is playing better then I thought he would right now and he has potential but come on, this team would have been doing much better right now with Brett. Is the trade off of less wins for less off-season drama worth it? Short answer: no.
