Hi everyone to back this up ill post a little review for the original aand from what weve seen of the tech etc. I think it will be a good investment for a future game which if funded will be released next year sometime. For those of you who havent heard of Nexus: The Jupiter Incident or its potential sequel Nexus: The Gods Awaken before this post should explain. the original game made in 2004 was visually fantastic, the gameplay was unique, there truly wasnt anything else around that matched it and above all else it was fun to play over and over again. i mean see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyJjzQkT1Xo this is a multiplayer video for the game, it shows off the interface, the game allowed you as much or as little control as you liked, you could use predetermand settings against ships or the interface allowed you to micro manage individual weapon systems as shown in the video, you can set each ships power settings diverting power to shields, weapons or engines. you can prioritise individual weapons on your ships, dont like using lasers, dont use them go for nukes energy torps ect, the higher damage weapons usually had a cost they where either slow to rechage, inaccurate or used ammo like the missles or you could use alot of low damage but fast firing stuff, it really gave you choices to your place style. if you would like to try the game yourself it is for sale on GOG right now for a very reasonable price: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/nexus_the_jupiter_incident Now Nexus 2, it is on Kickstarter right now, it needs $650,000 in order to be made. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mostwanted/nexus-2-the-gods-awaken it has come close to being developed in the past but sadly it didnt make the goal which was on gamesplant, that was much higher also (900,000 euros). The developer video is quite humerous and worth a watch, however there is a tech demo which was released (see link) which shows what Nexus 2 would look like if they developed it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmpkJNi0uwM yes thats right, 2005, it was made in 2005, we got our hopes up but nothing came to be as no publishers are touching strategy games that arent a dead cert. it is 2012 now, think what they could do, improve on, you dont need to use your imagination much, gfx and gameplay like this dont come around often and for once this will be in the hands of the developers NOT the publishers which gives them a unique opportunity of making a game to their vision. now i ask you, please take some time and check out this game and help us bring it to the community for the good of all strategy games in the future not just Nexus, if this succeeds other similar games may be able to obtain funding for official sources and not rely on crowd funding. I hope you join me in supporting them on this project. If you want to know i backed this project for $1,000, im not ashamed of that, im proud to be part of a game that ment so much to me
