When Aeris died.

JUST KIDDING. I didn't feel much emotion in Final Fantasy Seven. I think the saddest moment in gaming history was when Uwe Boll was born.

sonic_keyblade

Well said. Uwe put a foul taste in the mouth of many gamers

Whooo! Flamed boards, baby!! Ahem, anyway, I think the review is right. Don't get me wrong, it is a good game, but it is shallow. Ensemble also created Age of Empires, which were great games, but they didn't have much depth, which was also the reason Halo Wars got a 6.5. I rest my case.

[QUOTE="Gigasmanic"][QUOTE="reviewninja"] it seems reasonable (although many would disagree) original xbox's release year:2001 xbox360s release year: 2005 (only a short 4-year difference) xbox 720-2011?? like it would give it a legit 6 to 7 years of life which would be more than the previous xbox transistion and more than most other console transistions but you guys are right it is a little early to think about the next gen although it is fastly approaching reviewninja
Well, not to bash your oservation, but the original Xbox was not very good. I'm not saying it was the worst(I.E. Gamecube), but it was losing money and popularity, so Microsoft made the jump to next-gen fairly quickly. If you look at Sony, they weren't going to release the PS3 until 2009, but once Microsoft announced the Xbox 360 they kick started it into high gear. Right now the Xbox 360 is selling well, so I don't think they will update it anytime soon.

idk if i agree with that. the orig. xbox was really good just didnt have a huge selection of great games but was awesome

OK, you have a good point, the original Xbox was not a bad system, it simply was not as popular as, say, the PS2.

I don't know what position they are going to be in but Halo 3:ODST, CoD:MW2, and RE5 are going to be in the top ten, at least on the Xbox side.

[QUOTE="reviewninja"][QUOTE="reviewninja"]

im reading things on websites (xbox.com bloggers included) and many rumors are swirling around that the next xbox console will be scheduled for 2011 possibly 2012. with sony saying that they want to wait till as late as 2014(i doubt theyll wait that long) and the next wii possibly in the works soon, do u want to get the new xbox at launch and if so what would u like for it to have to upgrade the already decent 360?

PS. i know this is all rumors i just thought it would be fun to have this discussion about the near-future.

It's easier than Ace Combat, I will have to say. Ace combat has more realistic combat, though.

It would be impossible to create a 2nd person shooter, as the action would have to fall on someone else. It is extremely confusing to even try to prospect the idea of how to do such a thing.
