[QUOTE="Git17"]but Sc2 is just....Sc1 with small visual enhancements and new units.

Even if that were the case, that is enough to put SC2 on top. I'm intrigued about the story as well.
Not really, you do not back up your point, but so many of us who like Dawn of War 2 have. Beefier graphics a few new units and no gameplay changes means Sc2 is superior to Dawn of War 2? Mabye to you yes, but not to us. I am 18, so I am not sure if I am considered "young" or not but I did play Starcraft 1, quite a lot actually, when I was younger and got bored of it after a while. Good game? Yes. But Awe inspiring? Nay. The story does seem intriguing for SC2, I will give you that, but considering that the old Blizzard dev team who did SC are gone, I am definitely holding my breath.
And new does not always mean better, that statement is correct. On the other hand something new is interesting and in this case, unique. The SC formula is arguably perfect from a balance/RTS standpoint....which to me is kind of dumb. Nothing new, nothing, the visuals would get absolutely boring and it is a micro fest with the combination of a meat grinder for your poor men. Dawn of War 2 brings something new to the table, something very different from the traditional RTS we all grew up with and loved. Do we know if this is going to be bad ass or a failure? We can only wait, but one thing is for certain , by the looks and sounds of it, it will be a LOT more action packed than Sc2.
Relic is attempting to bring something new to the table, and with the notable exception of Dawn of War SS from a few players perspectives, they seem to be pretty damn successful with this forumla. COH, if they even take a fraction of this game and translate it to Dawn of War 2, regardless of units sold I would wager that non biased players would most likely go for Dawn of War 2 and agree that one of its major positives is its attempt to try something new and make a bloody good run at it. Sc2 buffs graphics and makes Korea go wild and provides perfect balance. Give me something visually entertaining and new gameplay over that any day.
Destructable terrain, intelligent units who seek cover when in trouble, visceral combat animations, brutal death animations, realistic vehicle penetration [Bullets do jack from front] and enhanced visuals. Dawn of War 2 is looking to be pretty smashing if you ask me.
