Wow, it's like a High School political debate in here. EVERYONE'S an expert all of a sudden, and of course thinks that they're automatically right about everything. All I know is that I had ZERO overheating problems with my 360 before picking up GTA IV. Every time I attempted to play it I made sure the AC was on and the thing still overheated the console within half an hour each time. Now some of my other games, Halo 3 and GRAW2 in particular, are accompanied by this problem, but none of the others (RBSV2, COD4, Armored Core 4, Gears, etc.). You're all correct, games themselves don't cause the 360 to overheat, just GTAIV coupled with an older console that had an absolutely impeccable record up to that point.
