Too many similar games this generation!

Most games these days just seem like Call of Duty, Gears of War and God of War clones. I'm getting so bored of these games. There are hardly any games that are unique anymore.I mean it is fine for some people who just think that if the gameplay works for [Call of Duty, Gears of Waror God of War] then it'll work for the other games, too. But the problem, for people like me, is that there are too many of those games now. I've already played God of War multiple times so even the sequels weren't as fun as the first time i played the predecessor. Now developers are just making near identicals of these games and after seeing like the 10th one, I've basically lost all interest in these action games with buttonmatching mini games. Gears of War is pretty much the same. What's worst is that they add very little to nothing new to the games. Ever remember back in the day when you first start playing a game and it is all new to you? Doesn't seem to happen to me as frequently anymore. Once you've played Gears of War then you'll most likely get the concept of most 3rd person shooters. Nothing new. What's worst is when the games start taking the health system from those games, too. Now to Call of Duty. Back in the day, they made WWII games and all those war games took place in WWII. They're working on Modern Warfare now and the Bad Company and Medal of Honor franchises are moving to the modern warfare setting, too. They even copied the killstreak system. I don't know if the developers are lazy or games are getting too complicated for them to develope on consoles but this is just ridiculous. When ever I pick up a game, I can pretty much expect button matching minigames for action games and take cover then shoot in 3rd person shooter games and most of the times I'm right. It's very rare for me to get a game that is unique to the gameplays i mentioned. Assassin's Creed, Bioshock and Fable 2 are pretty much unique games I've been lucky to add to my collection. Assassin's Creed is starting to lose some of my interest since the sequels are starting to look too similar to one another but I think the future games in the franchise might shape up a bit better since they do change timelines and settings. Just when I thought I wasn't going to get another Bioshock game after playing through Bioshock 2(which is still my #1 fav game), Bioshock Infinite pops up. I'm really glad that the devs for the Bioshock franchise are trying new stuff instead of relying on the same things. Even changing the setting of the game is enough to grab my interest. Fable 2 may not be as good as its predecessor but atleast it included the feature of choosing your gender.

Sadly, this is the way I see the gaming world now. Last gen consoles had much better games from what I've experienced. Back then I would get hyped over many games(and by many I mean like almost every big title announced) but now the only games I'm hyped for is Bioshock Infinite, Fable 3 and maybe The Last Guardian.
