Resident Evil 2

I was playing Resident Evil The Dark Side Chronicles on the Wii the other day and played through the RE2 scenario and was just amazed with the detail they put into it. Ever since they put out the RE Remake I always wondered when will we see an RE2 Remake. So later that year in 2002 I think we get RE2 for the Game cube but it's the original game with the original graphics. Capcom says it's because they think the graphics were good enough. I thought it wasn't right to do that to the fans. Then 2004 comes and we're blown away by RE4 and forget about the RE2 remake. I thought what if they make RE2 with RE4 game play? We then get RE Umbrella Chronicles...cool a rail game shooter with RE0 RE Remake and RE3 with some new stuff with Chris and Jill but wait no RE2? Ok we get some Ada Wong stuff and Hunk but that's only a little bit of what's in RE2. We then get a CGI movie RE Degeneration. We get Leon and Claire in a movie together at some airport with Zombies. Then we get RE5 another awesome game with the game play from RE4 and even better graphics. After that we get REmake and RE0 for the Wii with Wii controls. Now finally we get RE The Dark Side Chronicles. Another Rail Shooter but this time we get RE2, Code Veronica, and a new story with Leon and Krauser. We get to see what RE2 would have looked like with next gen graphics and now I wonder what it would look like with next gen graphics and RE4 game play. There's old rumors that we will still see a remake but I don't think it will be any time soon. I've seen petitions and people begging on forums but Capcom just doesn't seem to want to do it for some reason. Maybe they're afraid of it being inferior since they put games like RE4 and 5 with completely different game play than the original games and they don't want to use that game play with RE2. The original RE2 was released on the PSN late November maybe to pacify the gamers that don't have Wii or keep our hopes up about a remake. It's ultimately up to Capcom and I just hope they listen.
