I too am not in a hurry for any new consoles. M$ should not even speak of one because it will get all the fanboys in an uproar. Let things stay as they are for a few more years, just more and better IP's.
I worked at Blockbuster for years and we were always allowed to rent games the day we received them, prior to the street date. I no longer work there, but if that policy is still in place, employees are going to rent games early and play them, not knowing this will be their fate.
I also finished GTA IV the month I bought it. I even had to buy the special edition with the lockbox and duffel bag because the $60 copies were sold out and I so believed the hype.
Unfortunately, like many of the other posts state, I had more fun with the other games, particularly SA and VC. These were period pieces and everything from the vehicles to the music fit the theme. I most recently played SA only a few months ago. I have not given IV much attention since I finished it because the fun is done.
I seriously wish someone was monitoring that as well as the rampant use of the most foul and disgusting expletives and disconnect the offender so the rest of us can enjoy XBL better. I don't need to hear my countrymen at their lowest.
