IMO don't bother with it. Just get Patrican 3 or Port Royale instead. They're pretty much the same game in concept but they have more depth and are far more engaging than East India Company.
im pretty sure theyve updated them to run on modern OSs

No, they don't. read what simardbrad said in the thread I made 3 days ago.
so to run Dark Forces im gonna need my old 386 with windows 4.1, a 5.25 floppy boot disk, and 8MB RAM?
thats disappointing. oh well i msure jedi academy will run
The steam version comes with a pre-config dosbox, which is a program that allows you to play old games on your modern computer. It works fine for me cept I had to edit the config files to make the game run faster. But editing a number in a text file is hardly much of a task.
Edit:
Dark Forces 2 has issues running with 3d acceleration turned on. But other than that it fine.
What version of catalyst are you using? I have a 4870 myself and I've been getting errors playing old games like Thief 1 after version 9.5. Rolling back to 9.4 seemed to fix the problem, not sure if it will help you out with Planescape though.
From what i remember, the minimum specs for the original crysis was 12gbs but it actually took 6gbs. So I'm guessing Crysis:Warhead will actually take half the size of the minimum spec.
