I have a blog!

Yes, I know how silly this statement sounds. Today you can find many free blogging service but I didn't really want to. So this is my very first blog post ever!

My name is Guy. I'm a noobish player. I've never thought of using this site untill last week's events, detailed in the next phrase. My owned consoles are a PS2, PC and a PSP. I'm a guy that likes to share his world with others, making me very chatty sometimes. I played very few games with my PS2 and PSP. Due to an accident with my disk binder, most of my disks were broken, leaving me with only one game( Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3) which was in a bad shape. I have about three PSP games as for now. I live in Israel.

As I wrote above, I was left with only one bad-shaped PS2 game (Budokai 3).After the accident, I plugged my PS2 out and stocked it in my drawer.

Lately, my sister asked me if she can have my PS2 because I didn't use it. I agreed. So we went to her apartment, plugged the PS2 in and began to play. The game got stuck again and again. Since I played it a day before without my memory card( lost it) I thought her TV caused the problem. When I got home I discovered this wasn't the case.

Last Wednesday, I handed my PS2 to repair at a local gaming store. The woman in the store first tested the device in the store to see if the problem was with the PS2. The game didn't even load itself. After filling all the required details, the woman explained me that I wil recieve a call from their lab (and I forgot to ask when) telling me the problem and whether it is wise to fix it. She said that if the eyepiece then it will cost me about buying a new one in today's prices, since I added a chip installation request( I know, where have you being for the 3 years you had the PS2?).

The most reasonable thing to do while I wait for this critical phone call seemed to be planning what console to buy if it was the eyepiece. I first ruled out the Nintendo Wii. If I am going to look for a new console, I needed something more familiar. So I started asking people about PS3 and Xbox360. The woman from the store recommended Xbox, my friend that has PS3 recommended it, an online clip from YouTube recommended Xbox.

A wise saying a friend of my sister sid was: "Asking to choose between PlayStation and Xbox is like asking to choose between Mom and Dad." But he said that he eventually chose Xbox360.

So why not choosing Xbox already? Well, I'm scared. I'm scared I won't like its defects. I searched for any defect in Xbox360 and found none. They say you can play pirate copies with it, the graphics are the best, more games then PS3, the best net play( though I never played in one, so it doesn't matter) and cheaper then PS3. Now, where's the catch? There has to be at least one.

Luckily, I found a solution. Me and my friend, Nir, ( the one with PS3) are going to the national gaming championship in Hanukkah. I'm not going to take a part of the compatition, I'm going to test both consoles. In addition, I'll get to test the new PS3 game that I wanted so much, Ratchet and Clank Future: tools of Destruction. The event is on December 11th, so unless something interesting will happen untill then (like that stressing phone call), my next post will be then.
