I think most of the old talent is gone or moved on. EA Bioware is not what it used to be , years back. Because EA management works bit differently. Sad to say, but their RPG era is over, now expect just action adventure games.
Thre is a dialog in DA:O with the blacksmith that explained their relationship with EA at the time. Now that by EA SW KOTORO was a failure of somewhat and the doctors are gone, they are just another department in EA. Also recall Bluffrog, Maxis, Orgin & Westwood.
Amen brother, your preaching to the choir. Like you said, it is FAN service. Meaning it has a target audience:, the one that has bought the previous ones and hasn't gone mental yet. No one denying the game can be awkwardly amusing and the pioneer of the boobs physic.. But really this isn't a Illusion game so expecting to see something shocking in this game is a road to the disappointment.

@picho86 Looks so, though I have to say I enjoyed the new Van Hellsing more then D3. No worries third expansion for Starcraft is coming so they will have a chance again.
@puketrain Sorry to say we just called it Panda excrement before others and stayed in background to enjoy the fiasco as it pummeled onward. Also notice how lack of AH made the game better.
