The disease is called Prader-Willi syndrome and acording to the ABC Article is that it is a genetic disorder of the 15th chromosome, which intellectually and phycologically impair the recipient with a seemingly never ending urge of hunger. Even to the point of possibly eating oneself to death.

Luckily today, the disease can be discovered at birth and research is under way to discover what triggers this disease.
