Some are saying it's the best PS2 action game this generation, hell even best action game period. I personallly couldn't make such a claim, but it's not that hard for me to believe. I just gave some quick bullet points and pictures for those who are still on the fence.

Also check out the Devil May Cry 3 thread we got going on at PS2 Forum Version 2, Taru posted his own review there about a week ago.

And let's not forget about Lady!

Goodbye, New City Dreamers. Hold down the fort whil Sgt. Grizzly is gone.

Well my plans for the weekend just died. We have to do inventory next week, and I need the extra money. I wasn't scheduled to work on Friday or Saturday...until a few hours ago. I'll be there Friday night, and then Saturday night from 10pm - 2am. Kinda kills going out at night. Although my plans to see Constantine with Mad_Baka and some of his friends are still on, doing that on Saturday afternoon. We're also going to hit up this anime shop that none of us have ever gone to before, the arcade, and possibly play some pool.

I'll also be gone for most of next week, I leave on Tuesday. My manager asked me to be his assistant for the next project. Basically we'll be going to all the KB Toy stores around the Dallas, San Antonio, and Killeen area. We go to a store, see if they are doing ok, answer whatever questions they have, and help them with any projects they might be confused on. Should be fun...better than the usual boring store in Austin. I'll get a pay increase (for the duration of the trip) and all my expenses will be paid for by KB Toys.

And Devil May Cry 3 comes out on March 1st, so I'll be playing that in much of my free time. It might get put on the back burner because of my trip, but it's getting my full attention when I return. I already re-played the original Devil May Cry a few months ago...and I have no desire to re-play Devil May Cry 2, so as odd as it sounds I've been playing Chaos Legion to get my skills back into shape. Seig is such a lifeless loser compared to Dante...one reason Chaos Legion is so boring, one of many many reasons. I laugh everytime I read the PSM quote written on the cover, "If you loved Devil May Cry, you'll love Chaos Legion." That's a DAMN LIE! Chaos Legion is the perfect example of a "painfully average game," another example would also be NanoBreaker. http://www.bonusstage.com/art2045.html

I'll stop writing now, I got a few more mall adventures to talk about, but I'll save some material for next time. Ciao

All of the memories so close to me just fade away!

Yeah, I used some Avril Lavigne lyrics for my title. Why do that since I don't listen to music? Well we've had a couple of he songs on our music cd at KB Toys, so I've pretty much got it stuck in my head. Geez, I can't believe it's been a month already. And I havent' updated in a little weeks...strange considering how much I like rambling on.

So what did everyone think about the first month of 2005? It's been going pretty smoothly for me, not terribly exciting though. Same old, same old.

February is just about here! You know what that means...Valentine's Day is near. This is going to be the first V-Day I've been utterly alone in three years, so it's going to take some adjusting. In middle school you really don't go out on dates for V-Day anyway. And in High School I got lucky by having relationship cycles around this time, and actually was able to so some pretty interesting stuff. I don't know, unlike most guys, I sorta enjoy Valentine's Day. Buying tons of stuff isn't fun by any means, but making the person you care about happy and surprising them with gifts and tokens of your affection is. I might look for a date if I meet someone interesting, but it's not something I'm rushing out to do. Being alone might be nice for a change.

Work has been going pretty nice. I got promoted after Christmas for those that don't know. No big deal really, just a new title and $1 more an hour. And I don't have any new duties, tasks, or responsibility.

Things are still going ok in PS2 Forum Version 2. Gaming news started to pick up after the holidays, which gave everyone plenty of stuff to post and talk about. Of course there are still times when we all get a little too "heated" in our discussions, usually over a touchy title or franchise. Some people will like it, some will hate it, and the fireworks just start blastin'. Recently this happen with the annoucement of 'Castlevania: Curse of Darkness' for the PS2. Sometime I read some of my past posts and realize how much of an butthole I must come off as to some people, when I'm really not like that. I just get really passionate about some things, like logic for instance. Anyway, check out the thread for some laughs and gasps.

Not much else to say...some personal stuff has been brewing lately but that really isn't Gamespot Journal material. Hit me up on AIM if I'm ever on for the sexy details. Screenname is Grizzlyjin, but I have safelist where only people on my buddylist can contact me. So leave your screenname with me at some point.

Later, gators.

I'm so fly.

I am right? Am I wrong? Am I left?

I got "The Call" today. That call I talked about a few months ago. This isn't going to make any sense, but I'm falling back again. I know it's wrong, but it feels so right...err wrong.

Friday Night in the ATX or Adventures in GrizzlyLand.

Well it happen again. I got a call to go out on Friday night without any notice whatsoever. Me and my usual group hit up this party...actually it was more of a get together, I would never call something like that a party. It was maybe 12 people, no music, everybody just sitting around. We were all a little disappointed since we were ready to just let loose, but they had dranks and good conversation, so it wasn't a total loss. Saw a few friends from high school, it was nice to get back in touch with the old buds.

After that we hit up Einstein's Arcade and played Tekken 5 and DDR at 3am. I was a little tipsy, but I could still handle myself with PAUL PHOENIX! I got beat 3 times...but I'll get that bastards next time. My friend took the guy that beat me out though, showed him the power of Christie. It might feel bad getting beat, but it's mighty nice when you can cheer on your friend while he whoops on the guy that beat you.

We ended the evening/morning by going to a friend's house and seeing what they were doing at 4am. Well it was three of our other friends, sitting there playing Mario Party 6, high as kites. They must have been pretty gone to be enjoying themselves, that game is boring as hell. I don't even know if they were enjoying themselves, they just sat there and played...not really for any reason.

Long story short, we didn't sleep at all. Started the day going out for breakfast tacos and watching Teen Titans. So I've literally been awake without sleep for over 36 hours. For some reason I'm not really tired. I guess my brain was turned off after watching them play Mario Party 6 for two hours. I didn't really do anything except yell random crap and make fun of everyone, usually crude guy jokes thrown around by everyone.

Gaming wise...let's see. Well I got home this morning and popped in Resident Evil 0. The only Resident Evil game in the main series that I didn't have. Some of you might already know that I've been pretty pumped up about the release of Resident Evil 4. So I thought it was only fitting that I attempt to beat RE0 before Tuesday, January 11th. I've also been playing quite a bit of Mr. Driller (PSone). It's a constant cycle, both games are so freaking addictive. I got both games on Friday afternoon, along with Wipeout Fusion. I think I got some good deals, total for all three game was around $33.

I've actually been reflecting on some things in my life lately (this came up last night) and I don't know...it's hard to explain. It's one of those things that will just happen if it happens. I hate this spot, where you're testing each other's ground and seeing how serious things will get. I don't know, just unexpected stuff. That's all.

Who are you people?

I just realized something. I don't actually know or talk to 95% of the people on my "Friends List." I just got Friend Requests and didn't want to seem like a jerk by turning them down. But this still brings me to the question, Who are these people? Did they just want to increase their populairty level? Are they crazy pervs who love reading my journal? Stalkers? Does it matter? Who knows...

I'm off work today, and ever so bored. All my friends had to go back to "College Station", so I'm basically all alone until this weekend. Nothing to do but play games, read the forums, and talk on the phone. :(

This winter has been insanely warm in Austin, TX. We had about 4 days that some people would consider cold, where it got close to being 25 degrees. But then things jumped right back up to 78 degrees. I went outside at 5am this morning and it was 68 degrees...in January. Insane stuff. It's basically too late to have a winter now. January and February might be the coldest months, but things warm up right before March hits. We're going to have maybe two weeks of cold weather at the most. I actually wore shorts today. :D

Erg, I'm so bored. I actually cleaned out my wallet. Found a few numbers that I never called, either because I didn't want to or was waiting for the right time and just forgot. I'm guessing calling a girl 18 months late isn't really acceptable, huh?

I really had nothing to say in this entry, just wanted to know who all these freaks were. Haha

Time to drop a G-Bomb

I HAVE THE POWER OF THE HULK INSIDE OF MEEEEEEEEE!

Don't you just love how this grizzle can sizzle? I bet you can't wait until I give you a date.

*licks lips*

Now who will follow my lead and purchase both Mercenaries and Resident Evil 4 on Jan 11th? Take it, it's YOURS!

Welcome to 2005, the year of the Grizzly.

Hey, just wanted to say Happy New Year to all the Grizmeyer fans. Had an ok time this year...I guess it was just a really really long day. Now I know what it's like to be Jack Bauer, staying up late last night, getting up with just 2 hours of sleep at 8am, and then staying out the whole day and night until 4am pretty much killed me.

We hit the hot spot of Austin, TX and watched the Silver Star rise at midnight. We also hit a few clubs, but not as many as I was hoping for...and not the ones I wanted to go into. It's really hard to get seven guys to agree on where to go and when to go there, just know that right now. But it really is crazy to be in an area that is only about 5 blocks by 2 blocks with 50,000 other people. It gets mighty crazy. We saw two cat fights and free for all. The cat fights were insane. I actually saw a weave get pulled in the first one...freaking classic move. All that damn security and none of the fights were stopped by the police, now I see how bad things do happen even with hundreds of police in the area. There are just too many people, the police just can't see everything.

I didn't get that special midnight kiss, but that's ok. Got a few nice hugs and a phone number, but my mojo just wasn't in full swing. It's really hard to stand out in a place like that, even in the clubs. We did get tons of attention when my friends and I started doing the c-walk at "Emo's."

Well this is my year. I want it all, and I'm going to get it. Once again, I wish you a Happy New Year. 2005 is going to be GRIZEAT.
