Having to say IMO is stupid

Opinions shouldn't even exist (and neither should religion, but I'll talk about that later...). In fact, I'm not even sure they really do exist. What exists are facts, and how people interpret them is a whole different story. How they do interpret them is something that doesn't even matter, unless it's something that happened on a political playground, where interpretation is everything, because different judgments are always what is going to determine who is in charge. At least in democracies, which I believe are about 95% of the world's governments.

Well, why I think opinions shouldn't exist is the fact they don't do anything but generate arguments and anger. Also, why do I have to label everything that I say about a subject with "IMO" not to be crucified? Like when I say I don'tlike a game that everybody likes and I state why, people come at me and say "oh you can't come here and say that for a fact. That's just your opinion!". That is just as annoying as it is unfair. For example, I'm oftenat YouTube and about 50% of the videos I watch are about videogames. That leads me to a lot of comments exposing my point of view, so sometimes, when I wind up watching a BioShock or Halo video, and I criticize the game for whatever reason, rabid fanboys come out of nowhere and start swearing at me, calling me a "PS3 fanboy" or asking why did I come out of my hole to come and watch a video about a game I don't like. And it's like, just because I don't like the game doesn't mean I don't like to watch its damn videos. And what is it with people that crucify others so much on the internet? You know, if I say "Halo is terrible", that's gonna lead to an army of angry nerds screaming at me. But if I say ""Halo is terrible, IMO", it's a whole different story. It's like they ignore the comment altogether. But why do I have to label it as an opinion, when I'm talking about a PURELY SUBJECTIVE matter? And don't come here and say it isn't, because if it wasn't, there wouldn't be some websitesrating Assassin's Creed II 10's and some rating it 4.5. They all can analyze the game for what it is, but when it comes down to its enjoyment, opinion always plays the heaviest part.

Well I'm gonna leave it sort of open here. Tell me what you think about this situation, the very few people who read my blog :) your opinion is important. Yes, I see the irony...
