I bought GT Sport on pre-order, and I'm playing it for four days now. The verdict is that it's simply not fun. Or, not fun enough.

Previous GT games were joyful toys. Plenty of cars, races against AI, championships, an enjoyable career, a huge garage. GT 2017 is an entirely new beast: it is based on multiplayer, PVP races.

But multiplayer, especially in racing games, it has always been disappointing in videogame's history. For one reason: to be able to race, you must know how to do it, and that's not easy. People - kids, especially - just want to push accelerator button and crash everything ahead.

Multiplayer racing in GT Sport reflects this "kill them all" attitude of the majority of players. The penalties for hitting cars is simply not punishing enough.

Most races are ridiculous. Players starting from rear crash all together at the first corner pushing players in front out of the track. Almost any race follow this sad script.

So you play for ten, fifteen races and then you realize that it's simply not fun being crashed into every time, being pushed out of the track every time at the first corner, because kids just want to have fun.

In my opinion they should have added a much more severe penalty for hitting cars, especially from rear: you hit the car, you are immediately out of the race.

All of this, plus the lack of a real campaign, makes me very disappointed.
