I understand that deveolpers do not get anything from secondhand game sales, but they make money hand over fist on the sales on the new product at approx. $60 a game. Once we, the consumers, buy a game, it is ours to do with as we please. We can play it, sell it, destroy it, give it to a friend, let people borrow it, etc. It becomes the property of the consumer. Its not like the developer is going to come to my house and say "You haven't logged enough hours in this game you bought, we are taking it back".
