It just seems like the Xbox 360 history is going the way of the PS2

1. It was released a year ealiar than its competition. PS2 came out a year before the gamecube and xbox, like the 360 compared to the ps3 and wii.

2. Had a serious hardware problem when it launced, the games for the PS2 which had a blue back rather than a shiny DVD back actually scratched the lens of your PS2. Obviously we all know the Xbox 360's problems. So both hadd problems which ruined the system!

3. Xbox 360 is mentioned on tv more than other consoles! Now this is more random observing than anythign else, but when I watchOne TreeHillor Grey's Anatomy you hear "hey stop playing xbox" or someone referring to it in a tv show. Also in movies like Role Models you can see people playing the 360 and the 360 in the backround rather then other systems. This is like the PS2, the PS2 back in day always had itself mentioned or in the scenery in movies or tv shows. It was like when people thought gaming, people though PS2. Now when people think video games they think 360.

This is just my opinion and me observing some similarities between the two. Also I realize Microsoft probably pays for its product to be in movies or TV shows and its not because the producers just like the 360 better.

you don't need a special hdmi cable for each system you tool anyone who would pay $60 or even $20 for an hdmi cable is beyond dumb.

I wouldn't brag about the sixaxis its a ps2 controller with a home button and no rumble, also crappy motion controls

I'd say 360. Live is better than PSN, and the control setup is better on the XBox for shooters. On the PS3 your thumbs are way too close together.

The PS3 does have Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, which has 60 player online, but servers are rarely full.

KZ2 is hugely popular right now, but Halo 3 still also has tons as do Call of Duty.

MAG for PS3 only is coming out soon too, with 250 player online. I think this will fail, but it's all just your opinions...

I say 360 for better Live, Exclusive shooters, and Controller setup...

i did the same thing, ps3 is a great system but it's just too much of a lonely experiance for me, i wont sell my ps3 for a 360 again because the ps3 does have great games, but the xbox 360 is where it's at for console online gaming

it's also good to note that the price cut does mean that Sony loses a lot of money for each console sold, so they are going to probably conentrate on getting consumers to buy a lot of these quality titles they're pushing out. If they want to do well, they will have to promote these great games. In other words, they need to fire their marketing staff and get people who know how to sell games to people effectively, lol. Talking chipmonks or commercials which show a hard montage of games won't cut it.

Seriously, just make a commercial that's outlined like:

PS3, New Price, $299 (assuming that's what they'll make it)

- Blu-ray player, check

- The best games (show off the current line up of their best games), check

- Built in Wifi, check

- Free Online, check

But the overall message would be, this console is the best value for your money if you're looking for an afforable entertainment package that delivers high quality stuff for the family.

A commercial like this would be better than any of their other crap, lol.

If your argument relies on something being free and the number of players (for individual games no less), it's not a very strong one. The strength of any service lies in its features and integration.

360 fanboys always talk about these features, but never actually tell us what are these freaking so called features you are so proud of

I can assure you that Sony does give a rat's ass what position they are in.

Of course they care about their position in the sales arena. They are "selling" something after all. All three companies want to be the market leader, because the market leader is in the best position to make money. And being the market leader does alot for a company's image as well just as being in last place is not helpful to their image.
