He didnt and even if he wanted he couldnt, cuz the pc hardware sales are too much to track. Apple has a revenue of 120 billion while hp has 100 billion and dell 50, ohh look pc won heh??? Plus thousand other companies making pc hardware or software like MS, asus, acer and so on. This guys obviously retarded if some ipad sales confirm that it will replace the PC. It wont and it cant. Also if ipads would replace PCs so it would be also replace macs. Ipads might will be one of the few devices to share its place between tower, laptops and smartphones. Also no body know how long apple is gonna keep its monopoly there, android gets more and more aps. And if windows 8 really will support arm processors and all the windows software or at least most of it will run on it it will be gameover for apple and google.
