Wow, it's been a long time seems like an under statement! More than a year and I finally add another blog post here. I must admit that I stopped trolling the gamespot forums and decided to troll at university. I come back though because I've always liked the forums here and I wanted to see if anythings changed, and it hasn't! Which for me is a good thing because I didn't want to have to get used to anything new.

Anyway, it seems my last post mentioned my blog for a column writing class I took two semesters ago. That blog unfortunately is long dead since I stopped updating it after the class ended. However, I joined the paper at my University and have been writing a column about video games! Not only that but I did well enough that I was asked to maintain a blog on the website of the paper so I could post even more articles about gaming. It has truly been a great experience for me and I come here now to rekindle more passion about video games and also share my articles to everyone that follows me here on gamespot. I hope some take the time to click the link and read my articles and I will surely keep up here on the gamespot forums and such.

So as much as i like posting here about games as you can see i've been lagging behind on updates. Another reason is because i have started another blog on blogspot. I still want to update things on here for games but my new blog is all about comics! Since i'm a journalism major and want to work for game magazines/websites i want to practice my reviewing skills. Other than that i have been swamped with school work and haven't had much time to do much! So hopefully i will start up here again soon.

Happy New Year! kinda late but it's been a long time since i last updated. Just been busy with finals, holidays, and family but now i got time to just relax! Anyway i've been playing Assassins Creed Brotherhood lately and i love it. I have beat it and the ending was extremely odd and somewhat of a let down but overall it was a great game. The multiplayer is fun but def. gets old after a while but i hear they are going to make updates to it sometime soon. I've also been playing Castlevania lords of shadow for ps3 and i am also loving this game. Extremely linear but the storyline and game play make up for it enough for me to truly like it. All in all games for me lately have been what i want i couldn't be happy. Now i can't wait for MvC3 and Mass effect 3, i think those are my 2 most anticipated games for sure. Also i hope everyone else on my friendslist had a great xmas/hannukah and new years!

I've noticed lately that fighting games are making a huge comeback. All kinds of fighting game franchises are making new and improved games. With a new arcade version of SSf4, a new tekken tag, new MvC, street fighter x tekken, and a new mortal kombat ready to be released. i'm glad to see fighting games finally stepping up to the plate and revolutionizing they way they are played to go with the new times.It was interesting to see that 2000-20010 was clearly the age for FPS games. When Halo dropped on the Xbox in 2001 it paved way for the FPS generation. All kinds came out fast and hard and unfortunately many bad and repetitive FPS games came out that really bogged down the genre. Now it seems 2010/2011 is the beginning of what could be the new decade of 1 genre owning and that genre looks to be the fighting game genre. It's amazing how one game can start the kick just like it did for the FPS games. I'm talking about Street fighter 4 of course. When it got updated to SSF4 it seemed like the whole fighting game genre was back on it's feet 100%. The community was huge again and now there are streams of people playing SSF4 or blazblue almost every day. I only hope that if it is the second age of fighting games, that they do not follow what happened with the FPS games. That the games continue to be different from each other so we as gamers have choices as to what fighting game we want to play.

So i just picked up Blazblue CS for 360 and i must say it's fun but the combo system is just insane! I mean it's pretty precise and theres tons of possibilities but it just seems a little to ridiculous. I'm just use to playing SSF4 so the much faster paced, action packed Blazblue is just a shock to the system haha. Anyway, a new semester at college has begun and so far i'm liking all my classes. So hoping for a good semester because i want to graduate soon!

Si i've had more time to play Record of Agarest war and i must say i love it. Graphically it isn't great, and gameplay wise it isn't revolutionary or new however, the setting and easy to play and challenging strategies have been great. I wouldn't say it's worth full price but finding it cheap is a steal. I have had a lot of fun with the depth it has as well so def. glad i picked it up. Also, just picked up Alan Wake however i won't have a chance to play it till late sunday or monday since i won't be where my 360 is. My hopes are high though because i've heard many good things about it and it's been a while since i've played a game like it. Also, if anyone is interested i'm always looking for people to play with on SSf4 so if you all have a 360 please do add me and lets have some fun in endless or team battle!

So after the 20x XP weekend last week i was able to finally get my star in gears of war 2. Now i can stop tormenting my self and just play the game for fun and kills to get the impossible Seriously 2.0 achievement! Anyway on to other news, i recently got Record of Agarest War for 360 and it's a decent fun game. It kinda plays like final fantasy tactics which i loved so i've been enjoying it so far. I also tried Halo Wars but got bored with it fast, however i can't wait for Starcraft 2! I'm going to get it next week cause i need to get paid first but so far everything i've heard and seen, it's been amazing. Also, i saw the teaser for Street Fighter X tekken which looked awesome and they are finally bringing Street fighter 3 third strike to 360 which i love. Thats bout it so far but it's looking like this is going to be a fun second half of the yeara for games.

So being at my parents house for the weekend has given me more time to keep playing ff13 and i FINALLY beat the storyline. Great ending though a little confusing but the final boss was much better than in 10 or 12. A little challenging but i was pretty much over leveled and defeated it nicely. Now i can focus on the exploring part by doing all the missions and maxing out weapons, accessories, and the crystarrium! Also, someone earlier asked how nier was and DON"T GET IT. It's a pretty bad game, ugly graphics, sluggish gameplay, and just over all not put together nice.

Haven't posted since my microsoft hate filled rant so thought i'd update a little bit. Been playing alot of SSF4 anf if anyone wants to come play some endless, team, or tournament battle please add me! Me and a few friends have formed a nice little team battle set up and been having alot of fun with that. I've also been playing Gears 2 like usual but with the 6x points a few weeks ago and now this 8x points my level is at 94 bout to hit 95! I just want my 100 so i can take a break from warzone and have some fun getting my kills up for seriously 2.0 in annex or king of the hill, maybe even submission. Again if anyone wants to play some gears 2 go ahead and add me. I've also got nier and BF: bad company 2 from gamefly and even though bad company is a fun MP game, those matches last way to long sometimes and i get a lil bored. Haven't tried out Nier but it looks like a decent action game so hopefully it lasts at least a few days. Almost done with my first summer course too so been kept pretty busy. I also tried out Lost Planet 2 and after about 2 days of fun it got old fast and i was EXTREMELY disappointed with it. I had so many hopes for that game and it just did not work out =/. Anyway, thats bout it for now hopefully i'll keep updates up a little sooner.

I've basically had it with Xbox Live and their "support team". So today i try to get on to play some SSF4 and i find out that i've been suspended! It didn't tell me why, just that i've been banned for 7 days and they've sent me an email. So of course i go online on my laptop to find the email, and low and behold there is no email. So i decide to call Xbox and ask whats going on. They can't help me and say i have to make a new account to post on a forum asking why and that they will send an email within the 7 days as to why i've been banned..wait what? So you mean to tell me they won't give me this email until they decide to send it? anyway i go to ask another question and xbox support hangs up on me leaving me rather angry. So i go make a new silver account and go to the forum (btw i feel this is an extremely unprofessional way to handle this) and make a post asking why i've been banned and such and ask to discuss this issue. What i get back is a one line response saying it's because of my bio and thats it and they lock the topic. This angers me more so i go to make another topic explaining that what i put may have breached code but it was light, not racist or anything deragatory, it was just a quote from the movie Clerks 2. It was borderline sexual but no where near me saying anything about sex. I also wrote that i may have deserved a one day ban but 7 days was way too excessive for something i can change in 2 mins. They decided not to post this topic and deleted it. This is just poor customer service and i feel like i'm getting nothing at all for something i PAY for. i understand yes, i broke code, but like i said it was nothing malicious or malcontent. Not only that the way i was poorly treated by everyone involved frustrated me even more. For a company that makes billions of dollars, to treat customers like this just makes me feel like they don't deserve my money at all. I've had Live for 3+ years and never did anything to deserve a ban and to get banned for something in my bio that i've had for 6+ months mind you, just seems unjustified. This was my first offense and to be treated like a repeat, bad offender again, just seems cruel. Thats my rant!
