I noticed the same problem. Since installing the newest patch, I think. Have you found a solution?

For some reason it just didn't grab me instantly like some games do. For example DQVIII was a totally different story for me.

I played FFXII for maybe 10-15 hours and then just kind of forgot about it. I probably will play it trough though, someday.

But then again, FF games have never been an amazing experience to me like they seem to be for many (played FFVII, X and XII).
