Ok,

So tomorrow I finally get to play Fallout 3 (hence my hilarious title), I haven't been this excited to play a game in a long time, I've heard nothing negative about the game so far, minus a couple of graphical complaints, though for a game as big as this, it hardly seems surprising that there are a few errors.

I'm playing the title on 360, which is in Birmingham and I'm currently back in Manchester, thus a distance of 95(ish) miles keeps me from playing the game I've been waiting just over a year for.

I am however somewhat concerned that I'm setting myself up for a fall. I was very excited around the time of bethesda's last release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and while it was a very good game, it just didn't match their previous Elder Scrolls title, Morrowind. Regardless, I played it through and clocked a lot of hours into, and managed to leave with some fond memories of the game, but also a dim feeling of disappointment stayed with me.

I fear that I will be comparing Fallout to Morrowind from the very off, which may leave me with the faint feeling that perhaps Bethesda have just suffered unfortunate mass-hype, which I have, once again [rather foolishly] fallen for.

Ideally however, I would very much like this game to capture my imagination, and drive me to playing Fallout 1 & 2, and discover more about this post-apocalyptic universe, that has gotten our little planet, oh-so-excited.

I will follow this blog with my early impressions and feelings of the game in a few days, so until then take care.
