I have 2 younger brothers. In order for them to play on the same PS3 that I set up my character on they would have to pay for there character.

MGO only allows 1 FREE character per PS3. So if you had brothers who wanted to play MGO on their own account they couldn't unless they paid for it. Oh and they don't let you buy 1 account you have to buy atleast 3 and that costs 6.99.

Let me start this off by saying that I love the gameplay of MGO. I enjoyed the first one and I love this one even better.

But gameplay aside, Konami is ripping us off with MGO. The set up is a perfect example of why a non universal online structure isn't always good. Anybody that plays MGO, has a PSN name, a Konami ID, a Game ID, and a Character Name...:|

Why would Konami make us go through all of this you may ask? Well it's because they want to nickle and dime us like we've never seen before. I LOL'd at the screen when my little brother called me into the room and asked me what was up with the game saying that you can only register 1 MGO character for free PER SYSTEM. I was in shock really, because WHY in the hell would they make it like that? Obviously they KNOW people have siblings who may also play the same game on the same system, it's completely ridiculous that I have to pay for additional accounts to play a game because it's not made to coincide with PSN.

Then you get to the MGO Store and you see a Codec Pack for 4.99. Hmm that's prolly cool, but I passed. Comes to find out from people who bought that Codec Pack said that there wasn't even a download for the file. Hmm interesting... So they put DLC on their Store, yet people buy it and there's no downloading going on? Oh wait, that's because the Codec Pack was already on the DISC! Charging people to "unlock" stuff that's already on a disc is simply unacceptable. Makes me wonder what more is on the disc that we don't know about.

To further this point, I know MGS4 fans have followed all the news dropping about the game months prior to it's release. I'm sure you guys have seen maps in screenshots and in trailers for MGO that are mysteriously NOT in the game. Or what about the special characters that Konami said would be playable in the game, where are they? I thought downloadable content was brought into existence for devs to improve things and come up with new maps etc. and then release them to the public. Not have pre-made items ready BEFORE the release of the game simply to charge us later on for them.

Fanboys will say, "Bu but it's only a Starter Pack", no that's what Konami wants you to think. And after thinking about all of this and finding out that they charged us for stuff that's actually on the disc I see why a 50gig dual layered disc was needed for this game. To scam the fans like this.

the online is free, and thats what counts. you still get to play the game...the rest is you being silly and stating a opinion which no one cares about.

everything costs now days, maps, addons, etc...who cares. don't get it.

Human nature to hate and diss whats popular. humans are built with addrenaline and the fight or flight response. Where mamals, we need it to survive.

and with the day and age with live in now, its less used so using the internet and chatting (verbally attacking) is another form of using that up.

find all the easter eggs, take shots of the best parts in the game and upload it and post them...MGS4 offers the feature. So much to do.

Play using young snake and enjoy cutscenes without the old snake, etc.

Your just another typical "fit the crowd wannabe cool guy" dissing on the length, for such a game its needed....leave it at that. Hate it? don't play the game.

Not everyone in the world can like one things, you'll always have people with different tastes, your opinion means little to the WELL recieved HIGH scores and praises.

Thats a great way to completly ignore the fact that IT DID recieve numerous average ratings from very reputable sources.

same as many other good titles, but MGS4 has reciewed WAY more top scores over the average ones, your point? MGS4 has scored way more 10's than anything else, so which do we go by, the more positive and high scores or the few average ones?

stop stating whats obvious with all top titles.

MGS4 could be done on the PS2, whats your point? it has nothing to do with NOT being able to be handled by other systems, but for the fact that either Sony payed Konami to keep it, or Hideo wanted the saga to end where it started PROPERLY on the Playstation with MGS1.

Hideo has said MGS4 could be done on the 360 with minor differences. but the the game is an exclusive title, hinted and told MANY times by hideo, anything else is wishfull thinking...let's let thing die already.

If the game WERE to be ported, the game would have to be edited due to its many hints of praising the PS3 here and there.
