Personally, I'm happy with this choice. Although Crysis has some of the most technically stunning graphics ever to grace the PC, think about this. It's location makes it a lot easier to make it look that stunning than the area Metal Gear 4 takes place in. One is a jungle with many trees and a lot of grass that allows the developer to show a high level of detail and make it look great, where as the other is a barren dessert with dirt, buildings, and very few trees. What Kojima did here was create quite an impressive graphical showcase, and people responded. This show is viewer's choice as well, so they aren't voting based on statistics showing which game has the higher graphical detail, they're voting on what they played and what impressed them. Kojima impressed a lot of people with this game, partially due to the fact that he used all in-game graphics instead of cutting into a pre-renderred cut-scene every time he needs to show a video. And he even took it a step further by going from a cut-scene into gameplay seemlessly. So even though Crysis has some breathtaking graphics, I found myself more impressed when I thought of how much more Kojima would have done if he opted to use pre-renderred cut-scenes instead of in-game graphics for everything. However, there is room for error considering this is my opinion and there are no facts when comparing graphics considering it all has to be chosen based on opinion.
Heh... Your argument went downhill once you said, 'both' mgs games... And the gameplay is mediocre at best? You're going to have a hard time convincing Metal Gear veterans of that. Good luck winning this argument.
I believe that MGS4 will be the best for PS3, the Metal Gear series has created some of the most memorable games I have ever played, and Kojima hasn't dissapointed yet.
The best game on the GBA, as well as the SNES, is Final Fantasy VI. It's one of the greatest games ever, and it's story is definately up there in the top 3
Although I don't think I'm going to agree with that score, it's still highest rated game on the Wii so far, so we shouldn't be complaining. Check more reviews then just this one, like Famitsu, they rate games the hardest, only 6 games have a gotten a perfect score, so check there before you start complaining about Game spot.
