On the issue of the number of guns just being hype, they don't know how many possible gun types are going to be in the final game. All they did was set up a system to create random weapon base around key aspects such as, barrel length, gun size, clip size, what material the gun is made out of, etc...... So I really don't think that they're trying to create hype based on a fake number of weapons in order to sell the game and they said that the count was now roughly over a couple million and rising every day which in my opinion is pretty f.ckn sweet.
