Its depend what wii region you buy, in Asia they mostly sell NTSC region wii. Europe is PAL right, so if you buy Japanese or American wii from asia that gonna be NTSC and won't work on all PAL games. that mean you should buy ntsc region for some games also.

i bought my wii from china and its japanese NTSC wii, it doesn't work with some of PAL games.

and for hardware, its doesn't matter what country who made it, my remotes 1 is made in japan 1 is made in amerika
