The Birth of Megadeth
When the Hair was born there was much resentment. Many small underground cults were formed. These cults were refered to as Thrash. The strongest of these cults was called Metallica. But one of the leading priests in Metallica, Dave, had many fights with the other two priests, Lars and James. Dave was expelled from the cult. Enraged, Dave vowed his revenge. He started a new thrash cult called Megadeth. The strength of this cult almost matched Metallica's. During the war against the Hair the two cults were forced to join together to stop a common enemy, but thier feud lives on today. Recently, Metallica has lost many followers and Megadeth has gained many, but no one knows for sure which is the more powerful. The feud is one which will last till the end of time.
The Mighty Pantera and the Great Dimebag
During the reign of the Hair many bands were spawned from it. Few were well known, but the story of the Hair metal band that became thrash lives on. They were known as Pantera. Pantera was just another tool for the Hair, but when the Big Four defeated the Hair Pantera died and was reborn as a thrash cult. This new cult, led by the great Dimebag, was more powerful than any of the Big Four. Thier power rivaled the Metal God Halford himself. Dimebag became the god of alcoholic drinks and invented the "Black Toothed Grin", the drink of the gods. All was well again, however, it would not last.
The fall of Pantera
Pantera was the most powerful thrash cult there was but there were many internal fights within the cult. One of the head priests of the cult Anselmo had many fights with Dimebag. There were conspiricy theories about Anselmo, as well as rituals invoving a forbidden herb called Heroin. In the end it tore Pantera to pieces.
The Death and Rebirth of Dimebag
Dimebag watched in horror as his cult fell to pieces. He fell into a deep depression. He tried to start a new cult, but it was no where near as powerful as Pantera. During one of his sermons, an old pantera extremist killed Dimebag. No one knows why, but it is speculated that he blamed Dimebag for the fall of Pantera. Many mourned his death. They brought him offering of beer and other alcoholic beverages. But even though he died, his soul lived on. He was brought back from the dead to rock on for eternity in Ozzfest.
