way to drop a ball bioware... thats all i could think about once i got to "act 2" if you will. everything is stripped and chopped.
story is a lackluster with no definitive objective what so ever.. you do things simply because there's an exclamation point there no other reason what so ever.
combat lost any kind of tactical approach. utter lack of skills and absurd cooldowns make any kind of variety of combat seem a distant memory. each ability "tree" has 10 things in it and at most only 5 are actual skills rest are just bland upgrades. to make matters worse some skills require upgrades to make them even worth anything. way to make act 1 dreadfully boring waste of time. what happened to clever and interactive world? all sense of humor in game comes from party banter.. which mainly includes isabela varic and meril comments. dlc companion is the single biggest waste of cash. compared to origins dlc companion shale... this is just LAME. shale was funny and provided a unique companion this guy... is yet another melee character with a fairly uninspiring specialization. did i forget to mention he was most boring companion in entire dragon age so far? no? good.
even gear customization taken a dive... now companions stuck in same jump suit for the rest of their lifes. yay for rpgs where you can't even change gear. so..... whats the point of all that gear that you get again?
most quests now involve either killing npc a or acquiring item from a chest and then bringing it to some random npc at which point you make a comment about "I believe you lost this" and u get some gold and a tank you..... WOW. i think solitaire quest would have a better presentation then this.
have no idea why this "crafting" is even called crafting. you spend as much money on potions as buying them in store. so why the bloody hell not just give shopkeepers infinite supply of specific items? OH YES.... i forgot.... WE ARE STUCK. in a single city for the entire game. how could i possibly forget that...
yeah way to use same tile set in every god damn cave you come across. the most unique cave so far involved placing lots of skulls in corners... too bad the layout was still IDENTICAL.
only way to use skills is from quickslot bar. too bad they forgot that some people might want to u know... use them bombs and DIFFERENT potions then the auto picked ones... at this point im sometimes forced to pause and swap things from quickbar mid fight great.
anybody else thought bioware is funny right now they only post scores from some shady sites that give them great score. even for once gamespot gave a fair score. loved their review for once. mostly i always ignore gs reviews cuz they are either kissing ass w/o even trying to hide it or beliter game because apparently if its not on console with 5 buttons its too hard.
god i hope masseffect 3 wont be such a waste of time. theres hardly any games 2 or 3 that i never finished... 2 were just too broken and buggy and 1 was just too lame. but da2... i might put it on a shelf and wait for some MAJOR patching done and maybe xpack or... 2....
don't think bioware even did any testing on dragon age 2... some of the things that are broken are impossible to miss if you simply play the game... well... i guess hiring a bunch of visualy imparied folks could be a reason.
