[QUOTE="Hidden-kazama"]The game looks like it can be really good. I have alot of high hopes for it. Oh and I am 18 and I am secure about want I like and want I dislike.ohnoez
'Want' does not equal 'What'.
Sorry, I made a typo and didn't proofread my post. I apologize for such a horrific atrocity. However, I believe my point was made.
I have actually spent a fair bit of time on the Wii, I did get it a chance, and the general focus of the system is simply wrong *for me*. Are there going to be a few gems in the garbage heap of titles that don't appeal to me? Yes. Does that change that their focus is on the "non-gamer"? No.
My complaint is with "non-gamer" games, no necissarily with casual titles. Halo 3 is a casual title, I don't think that automatically makes it bad. However, when your *showcase games* are titles like Wii Fitness, then that raises serious questions about the direction your company is going in. When we look to Mario Kart as a "hardcore" title on a brand that used to boast Chrono Trigger, I have grave concerns.
Crystal Chronicles is not an acceptable substitute for numbered Final Fantasy titles, Wii Play is not a substitute for Mother. It's ultimately as much about what we're getting as what we're not getting.
Also of grave concern is this press conference was the confirmation that Nintendo is doing what they have said they're going to do. That means a host of other comments, such as "TP is the last Zelda game of its kind" are slated to come true. What Nintendo means by this, I can only shudder to imagnine.

Like I said before then how do you know that the "non-gamer" games will not be fun?Don't get me wrong If I had tochoose between Chrono Trigger andthe past Mario Kart games I would pick Chrono Triggereasily, but then I look at my friend who hated Chrono Trigger (still confused of how that is possible), but yet constantly wanting to race me in Mario Kart DS.
I am Kinda of confuse as to why you are stating one game is superior to anothersince that is truly opinion based. I would take Crystal Chronoicles over Final Fantasy III (the real one FFIII, not FFIV) but I would choose FFII overCrystal Chronoicles, because the what really matters is how fun the game is to the individual. I can tell you right now I would take HIIT over WiiFit for working out anyday of the week, but I may not enjoy it HIIT as much as WiiFit. Just becasue it is different doesn't mean it is bad it just means it is different.
We may not know what the next Zelda will be but that doesn't mean we should already shun it.
I have a question, actually I have a few. Why can't you enjoy "casual" gamesalong with hardcore games? Also why isNintendo not allow to target a different audience if itallows them to not only "stay alive" but also allows them tokeep making quality games? Just because a game isn't target at you doesn't mean it will be horrible to all non "hardcore" gamers outtheir. So they played a different strategy then their competition. That doesn't mean Nintendois attacking the already installed hardcore gaming base, it just means they are trying a new wayof doing thing, a way that they try and satisfy the hardcore, while bring more people in to gaming.I concedeI would prefer if they had more games that I felt was more aimed at me, but Iam only one personand they have to think about everyone. Honestly, they still have games I want coming my way, but their also have games I don't know if I want to play. Sure I can take it at face value and say looking from the trailers and the audience aim I will never like this game, but that doesn't hold true. I can't make judgement without experiening it. Sure, sometimes you have to go off of what you like and what you dislike without trying it, but that doesn't mean it is a fair opinion, it just means me has a person has other things to do than trying to create a fair opinion of everything.
Just because something was bad in the past doesn't mean it will automatically be horrible (Sure it doesn't mean it will be good). That is a Chanticleer Fallacy. I am not blown away by Killzone 2 trailer, but i see the that it can be very good, as long as they work out the problems they had with killzone 1.
