.....for me any ways. I really haven't followed NBA basketball since the strike back in '98-'99. I was able to quench my basketball thirst with College basketball. They were doing things in College that I wasn't seeing in the NBA, Passing and defence. I would watch highlights on Sports Center, and I would try every once in a while to watch a game but I just couldn't do it. Then this year I decided to watch the playoffs and give the NBA a try again. First round was so-so, it almost lost me. Then the second round started and I am hooked again. 

I would like to announce right now what true happiness is......True happiness is playing "New" Supper Mario Bros. I am loving this game. Thank you Nintendo.

If I had to bet on the price of the wii I would bet on $199.99. In and interview with GameDaily BIZ Nintendo's Satoru Iwata said

"What we've been repeatedly saying is that it's going to be an affordable price point, and when we say affordable, you may want to check our past records of price points, launching price points for any past hardware... I think you'll agree that we always come up with an affordable price point. So when we announce the Wii price point in the near future, I believe you are going to say, "That's an affordable price point." Full artical

With that being said I went back and looked at all of the release prices of all previous Nintendo home counsels and they have all been $199.99. I think Iwata gives us a hint as to what Nintendo plans when he said you may want to check our past records of price point. So wheres my bookie? I would like to place a bet.

I am really close to buying a 360........but
I want NCAA 2007 in a bad way but I would like to here some info on NASCAR 07 before I make my purchase. If EA is not doing one for the 360 then I don't know if I will buy a 360 right now. I will just get NCAA and NASCAR for the old clunky xbox and kick it old school for 1 more year.(that and I keep hearing rumors of a price drop in October)

I really wanted a price on the wii man.

The Sony press conference got me all excited, with the pretty pictures and the shiny things……….and then wham, heal kick right to the nards. $500-$600 is a bit steep for a counsel.

 I was hoping the big N would have given us a price on the revel……..errr…..wii so that I could figure out what I want to buy. I have not gotten a 360 yet because I wanted to see what the other two were going to do price wise. If wii is right around $199-$249 then I will by a wii and a 360 for what I could by the loaded PS3 for.

 That’s another thing. The two tiered system launch, I don’t get it. At least with the 360 if you buy the basic version you can up grade it by buying the hard drive and wireless controllers. I don’t think that will be an option on the PS3 since the lower one won’t some ports the higher one will (HDMI).
