The best villain would be either Jon Irenicus or Sarevok. Both fill your catagories extremely well and are almost certainly the best crafted villains in gaming history
A well written article but that it took 5 years for the OFLC to change enough to classify a online game is silly and that the video game developers and distributors were unwittingly breaking the law because of that is appalling. I do find it hilarious that the OFLC tries to defend that they failed epically and that games were allowed through as 'unclassifiable' thus allowing users not to worry about their censorship.
Interesting, i've always thought that video-games were probably an art form but some of the conditions to be art seem arbitary like 'must be confronting' and 'must teach a message'. The fear i have is when games focus so much on being 'artsy' they fail to provide a enjoyable gaming experience, I don't want all games to be like bioshock with well crafted worlds and stories. Sometimes you just want to play a shooter that runs of the rule of cool or a simple hack & slash.
This is a great article, hopefully even though i have not done much programming (only a bunch of Visual Basic) I'll be able to go to a uni to get a games programming degree and get a job. Thank you gamespot for the priceless info
If I knew how to import and could, i'd do it in a heartbeat. I wouldn't care nearly as much if the price differnce between us and other nations was lower like a 50-70 margin instead of a 50-100 margin
